Alright, but then if you hold your action and then lose initiative (or if the enemy does not approach you), doesn't that mean you've just wasted your turn? Which was your original complaint in the first place, wasn't it? No, my complaint was that, despite Malavar winning the initiative, skeleton 02 was allowed to attack before Malavar when I had stated that he was readying himself to attack the first skeleton to close with him. If I hold my action and lose initiative, whether or not I waste my turn is dependent on what the enemy is doing. In this specific fight, losing the initiative would have resulted in the round playing out exactly as it did - Malavar waits, the skeletons move in and attack him, then he strikes back. I don't see that as "wasting" my turn, it's just a natural consequence of following the initiative order. The only way it would have been wasted is if the skeletons had decided to avoid Malavar completely, but that was a risk I was willing to take.

I've modified it a bit. You can still fight, and the whole 'magical healing won't work on you anymore' lasts only 10 minutes instead of 24 hours.

I'm off on a brief family vacation tomorrow. I'll have my phone but not my computer with me, so I probably won't post much. Back on Wednesday.
Malavar will continue to lob sling bullets at the kobolds as long as anyone is still fighting them. With only 1 HP he won't go anywhere near melee and is willing to retreat as soon as the rest of the crew show any such inclination.

The latter, I believe. According to the NWP description, "Only one healing attempt can be made on character per day."

Shucks. Then I guess it's time to find a safe spot to make camp ASAP.
Malavar will have a quick look around to see if he can recover his sling and any sling bullets while the others are rigging a stretcher for Drezden.
