Perhaps I could offer a solution? Either I take the point buy myself or we all have the option of using someone else's rolls? I can certainly understand the frustration. I've seen other games where #2 is used and it seems to work fine. Basically, everyone can use any array rolled. |

If that is permissible to all involved, I think I am going to play a Human (variant) Paladin of Bahamut. Probably the Folk Hero background, I picture him as a rural kid, whose region was going to be savaged by an army of giants or some such. Climbing to some hill top he invoked Bahamut's name to send some draconic aid, in exchange for the defense of his homeland he pledged himself to a life of service if the Dragon Lord would defend his region from the encroaching giants.
I figure it's something like the deal between Galactus and the Silver Surfer for the Marvel fans out there, heh.

Do you think you'll be from Foccu or Music? Both of them border the Land of Giants, though it's worth noting that Foccu is less tolerant of religious differences than Music.

Oh, I like the sounds of Foccu then. Creates a bit of stride between this remote valley of rural communities protected by a Silver Dragon, and the people of Foccu who would not enjoy this bastion of Bahamut within their borders.

If we can do stats that way, I think I will as well. Can't have the little brother show me up on everything, can I? Differently assigned, of course. Alonzo is quicker, but not nearly as pretty as Flynn. |

Most other stuff that Wizards of the Coast have done is ok, though do ask first. And, yes, start at level 1. What did you have in mind for lore? If it doesn't fit perfectly, we can work together to squeeze it until it does. |

Well, if he is 'only' a fighter/barbarian, I want strong motivation to go adventuring.
So, was thinkin of a tradition, I read in historical ancient cultures, about the duty to marry the widow of your brother, if they didn't had children.
But maybe his brother was a big deal, and he need to be at least as great, and he isn't even intrested in the widow.
Or some other wierd and intresting cultural shengians
