Qorrak's backstory
The minotaurs live at the shores of the beastlands, their faces at the sea which provide them glory and loot, and their backs at other tribes envy at their shores, learning to headbutt back sometimes.
Enemies, raiding victims and even trading partners will assume their society is patriacal- seeing almost exclusivly the men going to pillage, fight and trade.
But while the men own the famouse black and red triremas and the weaponry, the women own the lands and homes.
They have a whole mythological tales about those relationship. Men have to earn the right to live with their wives and mothers, and pleasing them is what motivate them to go out against enemies and often compete against each other.
The richer they are, the more land a woman own, she can demand more of her suitors. Usually wedding deals are made between matrons. Qorrak actually didn't cared much for all that. He had hard time in socializing with other minotaurs, and wasn't as competative.
Qorrak was even exprienced quite the bullying, preffering to defend himself rather then fight back, and quite often to run off into the near wilderness, feeling more at peace with animals, or with the sea.
Though,he couldn't ignore completly the pressures, and provided his family by hunting.
If Qorrak would have been asked, he would have been content with such lives until their eventual end, glory or not.
But his clan made a wedding deal, with the richest woman of all the tribes, legendary beautiful, and as priestess beloved by the gods- Parra The Divine.
The deal was marrying her to the most gloriouse minotaur, which Qorrak's eldery brother most certainly was- Jasorr The Shell Crusher, known for hunting turtle dragons with his crew, the Turtle Horns, their ship made from the turtle dragon shell.
Jasorr, has married Parra, and lute slaves have sang of their gloriouse future offspring, but Jassor and the Turtle Horns's crew have dissapeared, with only few corpses getting to the minotaur shores.
But death isn't an excuse to break a deal.
Qorrak were commanded by his mother, the matron to be as gloriouse if not more then Jassor. Qorrak didn't had a crew. He ventured inland in search for a worthy glory, wether he liked it or not.
