Update: Well, that didn't go well. Because my computer is so old (it still runs Windows 7), they didn't even want to take a look at it. They kept insisting it was not worth the money to really do anything to it at all, but to just buy a new computer entirely. I eventually convinced them to at least run a diagnostic on it, to find out what's wrong. Because if the data on it can be saved, I'd like to save it. I mean, I can rebuild what isn't already in my backups if I have to, it would just be a big pain. (Worth noting, I have zero backups on Champions of Krynn, since it started after my last backup was made, so that would be the hardest to deal with.)
So they're going to call me in 2-4 days with the results of the diagnostic, which is going to run me $100. And then we'll see what can be done from there. Until then, I'll try and update with my backups, but again--they are a month out of date and I have nothing for Champions of Krynn at all. But it might be slow going for awhile, as a result.

The good news is, my computer is working again and it only took a day.
The bad news is, it's basically at the end of its lifeline, and could fall apart again at any point. So I'm currently in the process of trying to transfer everything over to a new computer while I still can.

Well, for some reason my monitor doesn't work with my other computer. I have no idea why. It works just fine on my old computer. It plugs in normally; but it just doesn't do anything.
So I switched them back. I'm just going to continue using my old computer. I mean, the repair shop was wrong about it being fixable in the first place, maybe they're wrong about it happening again. For now, I'll just stay on top of making backups in case it fails again. And I'll stop turning it off every night, and just leave it on all day. Can't have problems booting up if it never boots up, right?
In any case, at least for now, I'm back fully and updates should resume normally.

Well, I'm glad it's at least functional enough for now! On my side, I had some busy days at my Uni, I'll try to get back on track tonight with the games.

Hey, everyone. So, they are doing so some hardcore maintenance at my apartment. Yanking out cupboards, window blinds, light fixtures and appliances. Which means I had to take everything out of the cupboards and stack them in the living room. This is going to go on for 3-5 days, from 8AM to 6 PM each day, with lots of drilling and sawing and hammering...
Well, suffice to say, it's extremely disruptive. And as a result, I might slack off on my posts for the rest of the week. I'll try and post when I can, though.
Hopefully this should all be finished by the weekend, or failing that, Monday.

An update. Woke up this morning to find my power off. They didn't warn or ask if they could shut it off. As you may recall, my computer recently had booting issues, so no telling how it will react to being suddenly shut off like that.
Anxiety was spiking. Couldn't shower or use the toilet because they were ripping the light fixtures from my bathroom. Couldn't eat because no power, and they were in the kitchen, too. Eventually realized I could not deal with this for 8 hours a day, so checked into a motel. Wasn't able to bring computer with me, not even sure if it still works. Typing this out on phone.
Long story short, I may not be posting at all tonight, or possibly the rest of the week. Sorry. Will update again if things change.

Man that is really rough, and not cool. They should have had to ask and inform all tenants of something like turning off the power.

New update. Back home for now, but renovations not done yet, just paused for weekend. Hoping Monday will be last day, but unsure.
Computer seems to be working, but not sure because monitor appears broken. Will spend weekend trying to fix, or failing that, replace. Until then, no new posts from me, sorry.
Will update again when know more.
