Ravarie, still in her panther form, closes in on Kori now that she is the only one left. She doesn't attack though. She just stands there growling a little bit.

Kori meekly says, "Ok." She drops Habbakuk and her spellbook, raises her hands, and does her best to look surrender-y.

'Har har! Now this was a gloriouse battle!' Hunner lift his sword in victory. He finally turn his attention to the elven mage(?) 'Well, you don't look like the typical pirate, now are you?'

Ravarie shifts back into her regular form. "Who are you? Why were you on that pirate ship?"

"I don't look like a pirate because I'm not a pirate," Kori says, indignantly. "I'm a member of the Solinari--you are as well, I would presume [she gestures to the captain]--captured during one of their raids on a different ship."

The captain lowers her sword, but does not sheathe it. "You are a member of the Order of Solinari?" she asks, skeptical.
"She does have white robes, cap'n," a kender male at her side says.
"Anyone can wear white robes," Serinda points out. "She did help the pirates attack us, so she does have some magic, though. If you really are a sister of High Sorcery, then I assume you can offer proof, yes?" she asks.

Ravarie crosses her arms over her chest, and quietly waits to see what happens.

"Indeed. This ring [she slips off the ring of Solin and presents it to the captain] was given to me after I passed my test of High Sorcery."

The captain mutters an incantation and points to the ring. It begins to glow softly, as any enchanted item would from a Detect Magic spell. But it also projects some kind of arcane text around it, like a hologram. This seems to satisfy her, and she ends the enchantment. "Alright, so you are a member of the Order of Solinari. Why help pirates then?"

"She might not have had a choice in the matter," Ravarie says. "Like I said, it was a illusion that she sent our way."

"In this cruel world, there are ways to force anyone do anything." Hunner say from Skirr' exprience.

"She might not have had a choice in the matter," Ravarie says. "Like I said, it was a illusion that she sent our way." "Indeed," Kori says, registering that the captain and this woman are a Silvenesti and a Kagonesti. One of each, I see, she thinks. Perhaps we'll set a world record and actually get along. "The illusion was my attempt to trick their captain into moving closer, allowing myself to retreat to the safety of your ship, and for your men to drive back the pirates on equal ground."

"So you put my own crews' lives in danger to save your own?" the captain asks with annoyance. "I lost several good people today, you know." Frustrated, she shakes her head. "Well, we're stuck with you now. And you two," she says, indicating Hunner and Ravarie, "since you are so keen on defending her, can take responsibility for her. I trust you don't object to that?"

"Uh, all right," Ravarie says to the captain before she turns to Kori. "So, I'm Ravarie and this is Hunner."

"You may call me Kori," she says. "And this is my familiar, Habbakuk." She lifts the cat off the ground and bounces him a bit in her arms.
