He nodded his agreement, "Fair enough," a slight pause, "though if I'm passing myself off as a hunter, tracker, can't rightly be working Selebon's shop can I? Any eyes we get on the Children is going to have to be done quietly." He turned to their host, "You got a spot I can perch, out of sight, that gives me a clear line of sight on your customers?"

Zakkoth-Sharq HP 20/20 AC: 15 Passive Perception:12 Mystic Points:17/17
Zakkoth would gladly talk to Eliana about his past under his Takhisis- as long he is sure, he won't be judged. Is she let him drink it's easier for him to open up. If she show squishiness, toward some of the darker themes, he would quickly change subjects- but if she is drunk enough, and doesn't feel judged- he would describe Takhisis as temptress. She was everything for him, in his dreams, and thoughts. He also would speak in similiar way about the 'Blue Lady', as he served as the high priest in the blue dragonarmy. His blue shield and robes are from his time in the blue dragonarmy and... he still hold those dear. If she insightful, he has mixed feelings of shame and nostalgia to his worship of Takhisis. He become vague about what made him to 'wake up' from his obsession toward 'the dark queen' as he reffer to her in wishpers the more he drink.
Zakkoth mostly use his time to drink and attain any possible pleasure he could buy. He would invite the other party members to join him. He would land his ear to Caelin,if 'the angry boy' would wish, He would try to understand Henry's resolve and ideals. And might help Chantilly in her kenderish endavors, if he is drunk enough.
Disguised, he'l probably try to soften the scars, and brighten the scales to appear younger. Call himself Sharq. He'l switch the blue robes for newer ones, and the shield if anyone would ask, was robed from 'an old fool'
'Huma's breast doesn't sound very comfortable' He laugh at Henry, quite Juvial after seeing the good omes, and the excessive eating and drinking he had. Zakkoth shake his head. 'They are just horses, no need to name them' he whip his own with his tail to move forward- a large beast which could carry a tall person like himself 'Well, mercenaries have a certain dialect. But I don't think the merchants would care THAT much who are we- we are people who can make bandits go away, and that enough.'

"Oh, oh! I have one! Is there a food market or something? Maybe a couple of us could go take a look. Now that they don't have the deal with the hunters anymore, they'll probably have to restock somewhere else." "In the bazaar, yes," Selebon answers. "You got a spot I can perch, out of sight, that gives me a clear line of sight on your customers?" "Perhaps on the roof?" he suggests. ============== (OOC: Let's get a perception check from everyone.)

It doesn't take long for the party to spot their quarry; in fact, it is that very same day, a few hours later. Chantilly is the first to notice a familiar face--that of Fenn. Specifically, she sees him, and a number of others, carrying a palanquin straight toward Selebon's place. She quickly relays this to the others. Whoever is inside the palanquin remains within, allowing their henchmen to take care of all business, and never emerges. But Eliana catches a glimpse of black scales through a briefly parted curtain.
Caelin, from the roof, watches things play out. Fenn and the other guards purchase five wagons and supplies. Once the exchanges are made, the wagons are packed up with supplies by local porters, and then covered in canvas and lashed down.
Using their connections with Selebon, it's fairly easy to learn which caravan these wagons will be joining. So now it's a matter of hiring on with them. There are ten other merchants joining the same caravan, and all of them are looking for a few more hired hands.

(OOC: Make either a Persuasion check or an Athletics check, whichever you prefer, in order to impress one of the other merchants with your skills. Also roll a 1d10 to see which merchant you end up working for.)

When the party finally knows which caravan they have to join, Quevalin takes a walk to find a merchant that would hire him. As Henry, he would've probably convinced the merchant to hire him but Quevalin is someone quite different from the chatty squire - doesn't talk much and seems to prefer solving problems with brawn instead of brain; so the half-elf just use his physical presence to make sure his point comes across: Quevalin is strong and dangerous and knows how to use a sword. If things go well, he haggles a bit just to avoid raising suspicion but after a brief resistance he accepts what the merchant is willing to offer.

Kysriani feel extremely uncomfortable upon catching a glimpse of black scales. It couldn't be a baby dragon (or maybe it could be), but she was leaning towards someone like Cyanwrath and that was worrisome to her. All the same, now that their target was spotted, she decided to put her skills to the test. While the others had some athletic ability, she decided to use her natural charm to get what she wanted with the merchants looking to hire people.

He descended the roof, calmly moving towards the small stag he had taken down when they had arrived in town, he carried the carcass towards the merchants joining the Children's caravan. The party finds it quite easy to get hired on by some of the other merchants in the caravan.
Caelin is quickly hired on as a bodyguard (10 steel a week, plus food and living expenses on the road) by one Achreny Ulyeltin, an Estwilde merchant and independent wagon master with two wagons in the caravan, both hauling cured furs and uncured hides. Achreny is a boorish man without a trace of civilization about him. He's not unfriendly--just smelly, vulgar, and utterly without manners.
Zakkoth is hired as a bodyguard (10 steel a week, plus food and living expenses on the road) by Beyd Sechepol, a half-elven merchant. The old bozak is presented with quite a conundrum--although his job is to protect Beyd and his cargo, it turns out all of his cargo is ale and beer. Beyd's entire wagon is stocked full with casks of the stuff. None of it is particularly fancy or valuable, and certainly not worth hauling a long distance, but Beyd explained he was planning to sell it all on the road, selling to his fellow caravaneers and travelers they meet on the way. Beyd himself seems a nice enough fellow who, perhaps due to his human and elven sides, makes a pretty good diplomat and is a great help in defusing arguments among others. He's rather careless about his horse and gear, though, often leaving Zakkoth to take care of it for him.
Eliana is hired as a bodyguard (10 steel a week, plus food and living expenses on the road) by Edhelri Lewel, a Qualinesti merchant whose wagon is loaded with exotic wood from the Godsfell Woods for the master carpenters and cabinetmakers of Sanction to turn into exquisite furniture. She is the exact opposite of Beyd Seschepol in temperament--impatient with people but exacting about her wagon and doting on her animals.
Chantilly is hired as a bodyguard (10 steel a week, plus food and living expenses on the road) and Benyt as a sergeant (8 steel a week, plus food and living expenses on the road) by Noohar Serelim and his brother, Selvek, both Qualinesti hauling exquisite wooden carvings made by their people. Selvek is mute, and so only can communicate with hand signals, but his brother, Noohar, may be the most articulate person the party has ever met. Speech springs from him like music from the harp of Branchala. The fact that he seldom has anything to say never seems to stop him from talking or others from listening.
Finally, Henry is hired as a sergeant (8 steel a week, plus food and living expenses on the road) by Samardag the Hoper, a Solamnic merchant. Perhaps someone who hauls crates of expensive, fragile porcelain in a bouncing, jarring wagon must be a born optimist. In Samardag's world, the sky is always blue, the weather is always fine, and the outlook for tomorrow is always bright. Odds are he would be a wealthy man if he hung onto his money, but he is a soft touch for every urchin and hard-luck story that crosses his path.
The caravan sets out the very next morning, Yurthgreen 9th. After traveling for the entire morning, and getting to know their new employers, the caravan comes to a halt for a quick lunch break.
=================
(OOC: Sergeants are expected to manage two to five other guards; Bodyguards are expected to stick close to their employer and protect them against harm.)

Quevalin - HP: 36\36 - Conditions: None - Active Effects: None
---------------
Quevalin's a bit surprised of having been entrusted with command - he knows Knights lead solamnic soldiers in battle, but he never really thought that would apply to him. When he finally meets the guards at his command, he gives them a good look trying to gauge the kind of people they are, even feeling a bit protective of them. At least, this whole charade isn't that bad - the merchant he should supposedly serve, Samardag the Hoper, seems a decent fellow with his heart in the right place and Quevalin hopes no harm'll come to the cheerful merchant. Not that Quevalin shares any of these thoughts and feelings with anyone, though; he talks little and speaks just when he really has something to say. For once, the less he talks the lesser the chance he would finds himself in the position to either lie or compromise the mission; but it's not just an act, if at all - Quevalin looks like someone that could go on days without speaking a single word.
When the caravan stops for lunch, he splits his detachment in two groups - one gets to eat while the other stands guard before trading places. During lunch, Quevalin takes advantage of this time to better know his employer, listen to what he has to say and maybe even catch some information on the other merchants; when he's on guard duty, he watches the whole caravan as much as he can, trying to understand who the cultists are, what they're doing, how much security they have.

Chantilly "Cinnamon" SweettoothHP: 35/35 - AC: 17 - Perception: 15 - Insight: 11 - Inspiration: Yes Cinnamon is ecstatic! Not only it was her first actual job after she left Lemon, but she got it share the experience with Benyt, hooray! The warrior was so smart, her plan consisted in keeping the contacts between them to a minimum to trick the cultist in believing they didn't know each other, which Cinnamon thought was a really clever idea, so she went to great lenght to avoid talking with Benyt, now Bea, if not strictly necessary. " Thank you so much, mr. Serelim! I went throught what seemed to be dozens of merchants and no one wanted to hire a kender, even though I told them: I'm just half a kender! That's like, completely different!" - Not only Serelim and his brother were so kind in hiring her and giving her a good pay, they were also two of the most charming and interesting people she had ever met! During the initial trip, Serelim didn't stop talking for a second, and oh boy, did he have interesting stuff to talk about. Cinnamon wasn't always sure about what point he was trying to make, but she was nevertheless fully engaged in his tales. Sometimes she even took out a sheet from the ones she bought just to take notes about what Mr. Serelim said. She was also fascinated by his brother, mr. Selvek. He didn't talk much, well he didn't talk at all. He only communicate through some sort of hand language. " Would you teach me?" - she asked the two brothers as she was preparing lunch for them. - " This way even if Mr. Serelim is not around, we'll be able to communicate without the risk of misunderstandings." As for the lunch itself, after having made sure that Bea and the rest of the guards had their employers safe, she managed to hunt a couple of rabbits and find some aromatic herbs and berries to season them. Cinnamon figured it was enough for her, the two brothers, Bea, the guards under her, and there was maybe some left if someone else from the caravan would join them, if they would have been satisfied with a smaller portion.
