A Fighter and a Thief would be nicest for me.

It looks like we've got a wizard, a fighter, a bard, and a fighter/cleric. It couldn't hurt to have a proper thief and another cleric, maybe another fighter as well. But in the end, you should pick or make NPCs you'll feel good playing. After all, you're going to be running them full time...
Can I ask what the purpose of beefing up monsters and NPCs is? Specifically things like giving max HP? If it's the case that the module is intended for lower level characters I realize that adjustments are required, but boosting HP does have the downside of turning many encounters into a slog (especially if you don't use morale checks).

the purpose is mostly because the monster's in the module have very low HP most never having more than 10, that is part of it and the module was designed in Basic D&D for a party of 4-6 players of level 1-3 but again we are talking Basic D&D levels not 2nd edition. That and I've received feedback in the past that I need to make encounters "more of a challenge".
I'm the kind of DM that likes to ask his players what they would like me to improve, and I try to take it seriously. That being said I think we can just take the pre-gen. thief and probably the dwarf fighter as the other two members of the group. Granted I'll bump them up to at least level 2 to better help. But as I stated previously I could just give them the 4k XP like everyone else so if we ever do get players they might be able to run these characters.

Okay, not knowing the module I can't really comment on whether it needs tuning up to provide a challenge. IME just boosting HP doesn't provide that much more of a challenge, however - it just makes combats take longer. :-)
I think I'd like to make a push for an extra cleric, though. If Roshek is the only one with healing magic, that's going to pigeonhole him a fair bit in practice. If he wades into combat, he'll often be unable to use healing magic in combat. Plus, as we saw in the Village of Hommlet, he runs out of healing spells pretty fast when he's the only source of healing.

Alright I can easily enough to change one of the two into a cleric or make them a fighter/cleric or something. Been busy was out of work got home then out all after work doing stuff with the family shopping mostly.
Today got a busy schedule after work again so it won't be ready with the NPCs until probably this weekend.

I mean, Hekras is Fighter/Thief and Q is Mage/Cleric, so that basically covers everything, doesn't it? And Q can help take off the pressure on Roshek to be primary healer, although now that you bring it up, I can't actually recall him ever healing anyone but himself.

Yeah, that sounds fine. Don't want to include too many new characters!

Alright, that makes it 100% easier for me. I'll copy them over from the old archive.

Hekras and Q are moved over and I updated their XP no new levels gained by either of them. At this point feel free to post in IC when you are ready to.

I can post something later today. I'm going on a hiking field trip to Mount. Cardigan in New Hampshire today, as I work in a school and volunteered to go. I'll throw up a map as well when I post later.
