I thought of a few things I might like to play, like a Bard or maybe a Druid. But then I was like, nah, let's do this old school style. Whatever I get, I get, in the order I get it. No rearranging unless it's unplayable. Totally random! Let's go!
z6zknnKr4d6 4d6 4d6 4d6 4d6 4d6
STR 8 DEX 12 CON 13 INT 15 WIS 12 CHA 14
Core Races: Dwarves, Elves, Gnomes, Half-Elves, Halflings, Humans Subraces: Hill Dwarf, Mountain Dwarf, Deep Dwarf, Grey Dwarf, Sundered Dwarf, Gully Dwarf, Aquatic Elf, Dark Elf, Grey Elf, High Elf, Wood Elf, Rock Gnome, Deep Gnome, Tinker Gnome, Forest Gnome, Hairfoot Halfling, Stout Halfling, Tallfellow Halfling, Kender, Athasian Halfling, Furchin Humanoid Races: Aarakocra, Alaghi, Beastman, Bugbear, Bullywug, Centaur, Fremlin, Firbolg, Voadkyn, Gnoll, Flind, Goblin, Hobgoblin, Kobold, Lizard Man, Minotaur, Mongrelman, Ogre, Half-Ogre, Ogre Mage, Orc, Half-Orc, Pixie, Satyr, Saurial (Blackback, Finback, Flyer, Hornhead), Swanmay, Wemic Planewalker Races: Aasimar, Bariaur (Male, Female), Genasi (Air, Earth, Fire, Water), Githzerai, Planar Half-Elf, Planar Human, Rogue Modron, Tiefling Core Classes: Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Mage, Specialist, Cleric, Druid, Thief, Bard
I qualify for all core races, but only three core classes. So my choices are Dwarf Cleric, Dwarf Thief, Elf Mage, Elf Cleric, Elf Thief, Gnome Cleric, Gnome Thief, Halfling Cleric, Halfling Thief, Human Mage, Human Cleric, Human Thief. If I really want to get crazy, I also qualify for Aarakocra Shaman, Aarakocra Thief, Beastman Thief, Bullywug Shaman, Bullywug Thief, Fremlin Mage, Fremlin Thief, Flind Cleric, Flind Witch Doctor, Flind Thief, Hobgoblin Cleric, Hobgoblin Thief, Kobold Cleric, Kobold Thief, Lizard Man Shaman, Lizard Man Thief, Pixie Thief, Satyr Thief, Finback Mage, Findback Cleric, Finback Thief, Flyer Mage, Flyer Cleric, Flyer Thief, Aasimar Mage, Aasimar Cleric, Aasimar Thief, Female Bariaur Wizard, Female Bariaur Cleric, Air Genasi Mage, Air Genasi Cleric, Fire Genasi Mage, Water Genasi Mage, Water Genasi Cleric, Water Genasi Thief, Githzerai Mage, Githzerai Thief, Planar Half-Elf Mage, Planar Half-Elf Cleric, Planar Half-Elf Thief, Planar Human Mage, Planar Human Cleric, Planar Human Thief, Tiefling Mage, Tiefling Cleric, and Tiefling Thief. Whew, and they say 2E has no choices!
Further, I'm one point short on STR to qualify for Fighter and one point short on CHA to qualify for Druid or Bard. If I choose a race that gives a +1 to STR or CHA, I open those classes back up, adding further choices. Although a Fighter with a STR of 9 isn't great (wouldn't be able to use heavy weapons or armor), so not much point to that. And the only races that give a +1 to CHA are Tiefling and Pixie, and neither can be Druids or Bards, so that's a moot point.
Let's see, we start with 4k XP, so if I go with another Mage that'll put me at level 2. But if I pick Cleric of Thief, it's level 3. Most likely will not multi-class. I won't bother looking at kits until I narrow things down a bit more.
I think I'll wait and see what everyone else is playing first. Also which module Greywolf is going to start with; no point in playing, say, an Aarakocra if we'll be underground the entire time, for instance. 4d6·4d6·4d6·4d6·4d6·4d6

I'll take the "dice land where they land" approach, too. This should be fun! vMtAXpui4d64d64d64d64d64d6STR 15 DEX 11 CON 9 INT 8 WIS 8 CHA 10 Hmm...instinctively, I think I'm playing a Fighter. I think I'll need Daos or GreyWolf's help in figuring out what I qualify for, though. 4d6·4d6·4d6·4d6·4d6·4d6

I'm heading off to work, but I wanted to pop in and point out that you can, per Greywolf's house rules if you choose, reroll anything lower than a 9. Otherwise, with that array, then yeah, the only classes you qualify for are Fighter and Thief. As for races, I'll look into that when I get home later.

Nice Gonna need some good armor to counter that crap dex. maybe a clutzy warrior or mage.
Let's see... core races i can't be a halfling, but everything else is surprisingly open. This bears some thought
Actually, the racial requirements apply -after- the racial adjustment is applied, so i could technically be a halfling too. Lol ==== edit: Going with High Elf Fighter +1 dex -1 con so final stats Str: 12 Dex: 7 (no AC penalty ^_^) Con: 11 Int: 12 Wis: 10 Cha: 11
4k xp means lvl 3 fighter, so
WP 4+1(@lvl3) NWP 3+3(int)+1(@lvl3)
WP: Longword (Spec), longbow, 2-weapon fighting style specialization (complete fighter), Ambidexterity
4k xp means he is a lvl 3 fighter so +1 WP +1 NWP, will take Ambidexterity to make the offhand penalty 0
Hps @ lvl 3 VsCPVQOw2d10+10 money 5d4

Oh, thanks for the heads up. Definitely need those rerolls.

EDIT:
Rerolling WIS (again)4d6
So, with 15, 11, 9, 12, 15, 10, I can be a Fighter, Thief, or a Cleric (if I wasn't limited to one reroll).4d6·4d6·4d6

Hmm, the Planewalker's Handbook contradicts itself. It states Tieflings can be Bards in one section, but on the Level Limits table it states they cannot. So I guess that'll be up to Greywolf.
Tieflings get a +1 INT/CHA and a -1 STR/WIS. You can also choose to take their standard innate abilities: Infravision (60') and can cast Darkness (15' Radius) once a day, only suffer half damage to cold attacks and get a +2 to saves against fire, electricity and poison.
Or you can roll randomly on some tables, because not every Tiefling is the same. If you want to roll, you roll five separate 1d100s for your abilities and you also have the option of rolling four 1d100s to randomly generate an appearance, if you don't want the standard template of red skin, horns, tail, etc.
Other things of note: Average Height is 59/57+2d10 inches and Average Weight is 140/90+6d10 pounds. Starting base age is 17+2d4 (Middle Age is 50, Old Age is 67 and Venerable Age is 100). Tieflings get a +5% to Read Languages.

Ah, OK. (Maybe I shouldn't have deleted that post just because I thought I made a mistake! ) Just in case that's not allowed, I'll play a Hobgoblin Fighter or Cleric instead. I'm playing a Hobgoblin in an IRL game that's about to start, so it'll be cool to play two similar characters in different mediums.

Uh...yeah, usually one just edits a post instead of outright deleting it. Anyway, Hobgoblins get a -1 CHA, have 60' infravision, and can detect new construction/sloping passages/shifting walls in underground complexes (1-4 on 1d10). Average Height is 72/68+1d8 inches and average weight is 150/130+5d10 pounds. Starting age is 14+1d6 (Middle Age is 25, Old Age is 33 and Venerable Age is 50).

Sorry this was a very hectic day today at work almost didn't get a lunch break. Crazy time with school starting back up next week and in-services for staff the first 3 days of next week. So IT guy is running around a bit nutso. At any rate, if you noticed my "house rules" did also list only 2 methods for stat rolls so really I should say Tristen you need to use one of those two. But I'm not that kind of DM. If you wanted to go super old school and roll 3d6 I'm not going to stop you there bud. As for the asking about Tiefling as a bard I certainly am fine in allowing it. Also big Thank you Daos for helping answer questions while I was unable to do so today.

And my appearance rolls: 1d1001d1001d1001d1001d100·1d100·1d100·1d100·1d100·1d100·1d100·1d100·1d100

So ability wise, you only take half damage to Acid, Cold and Electricity. You also get a +2 save against acid attacks on top of that. And you can use Mirror Image once a day.
For your appearance, you get small horns on your forehead, six fingers (including thumb) on each hand, and a special side effect (roll another 1d100 to get it) and one of them was just 'roll twice, but reroll anything over 89'.
