If you've been following the 'Creating a New 5E Setting' thread or the Chronicles of Overmorrow subforum, then you already know what this is all about, but if not, feel free to read up on it.
To start with, anyone who is interested going ahead and post here to signal that interest, and then vote on the nations you want to start the game in. If/when I have at least four potential players, I'll tally up the votes, and while you are all working on your characters, I'll be working on the first quest.
As there are 15 possible nations to choose from, the odds are very high we'd end up with a four-way tie, so to make things interesting, go ahead and vote for your top five preferences, in order from highest to lowest.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. But here are the most pertinent facts:
1.) This is 5E D&D, set in a new homebrewed setting.
2.) I'm looking for at least 4 players. As this is my first game in this new setting, I'd prefer to recruit in house for now, as opposed to seeking strangers outside the forum.
3.) I prefer players who can post if not daily, at least every three days or so.
4.) We will be starting at level 1 and with basic wealth by background.
5.) You can read up on Races, Classes and Backgrounds in the Character Creation thread.
6.) Standard Array for Character Creation.
7.) Variant Humans, Feats and Multi-Classing are allowed. Variant Encumbrance is used.
8.) The following books are allowed: Player's Handbook, Elemental Evil Player's Guide, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Adventurer's Domestic Handbook
9.) This is a heavy roleplay focused game, so I expect decent backstories.
It's worth mentioning that this is my first homebrewed 5E game; previously the only 5E material I've run has been prepublished. So there may be some kinks to work out.
And this game will follow the Module Matinee formula, of whenever we finish an adventure, we'll vote to see if we continue with that same party in that same land or if we mix things up and roll a new party and hop to a new land.
Any questions, let me know.
