After their excursion to Siabsungkoh, Arayat had been pleased with the group of rookies. Feeling they seemed to work well together, he decided to keep them together in the same squad, at least for now. Promising to look into finding them a new assignment off-world, for now, he has ordered them to patrol the Citadel again, keeping an eye out for any one who needs help and making sure the peace is kept. The group meets up at the Trade Discal to discuss where they should go first on their patrol. ============== (OOC: Casters may prepare new spells for the day. Post at will.)

"I'm interested in revisiting Suree Sangsorn to see if they were able to enchant/sell my wooden figurines and hand over this new one. Perhaps it is too early to tell, but a visit might be nice."
OOC: is Siabungkoh (an adjective Suree is described as being) related to Siabsungkoh (where we just were)?

(OOC: That's a typo, I've fixed it. It's Siabsungkoh, and yes, Suree is from there. If you remember, they even rode the same Concord Jewel there with you when you first went.)

"I don't see why we can't pay them a visit," Ha Yun says.

The party begins their patrol by heading to Sangsorn's Sorcerous Sundries. This is the first time any of them have been here when the place is actually open for business. The shelves are stocked with a number of strange and random items. Mila and Treg are both helping customers, while Suree themselves tends the front desk, ringing up a third customer.

"Hey Suree, perhaps this is a bit quick especially for experimental items, but were you able to enchant and sell those figurines I made? Also how was your visit to Siabsungkoh?"

Ha Yun goes to check out the shelves to look over the strange items on them. She doesn't dare touch them though.

"Hey Suree, perhaps this is a bit quick especially for experimental items, but were you able to enchant and sell those figurines I made? Also how was your visit to Siabsungkoh?" "Oh, yes," Suree answers. "Well, sort of. One came to life and had to be put down when it went on a rampage--long story. I was trying to animate it, as like a children's toy that could play with the child, but...well, yeah, it sort of went berserk. The second one, I went with a simpler enchantment. Its eyes light up. So...I guess it makes for a decent nightlight. Nobody's bought it yet, though. The third one is still in the back, I haven't gotten to it yet. I was thinking maybe enchanting it with a magic mouth, so it could speak or even sing. That might be fun, don't you think?" They finish ringing up the customer. "Oh, Siabsungkoh was great. Treg and I participated in the market games, had some vendor food, and got to visit some family. It was a nice little vacation, but back to work, so here we are." Ha Yun goes to check out the shelves to look over the strange items on them. She doesn't dare touch them though. Ha-Yun looks over some of the merchandise, careful not to touch any. Each item has a small placard that gives the price and the gist of what it does. Most of these items sound more hazardous than helpful, though. A pair of boots that lets one walk on water...but sinks if they are on solid ground. An amulet that allows the wearer to speak to spirits, but gives them terrible nightmares each night. A prosthetic hand that can be used to replace a lost one, but it may harbor murderous impulses from time to time. And so on.

"Oh, how did you do? We tried ourselves. Madam Kulps silk was beautiful, but her insects were hard to find we thought. Also, on the way back, I kept busy by making this other figurine. I still haven't figured anything else to do with them, so if you don't mind? I don't know what enchantment might be good for this one though, it's a minotaur with an axe so perhaps don't give this one life, or at least full life. Maybe she could chop veggies or maybe she could be umm... milkable -I hear female minotaurs are valued in orphanages because their milk can help ween infants off their former mothers milk and onto cow's milk since minotaur milk tastes similar to both other humanoid milks and cow milk. I don't know, magic isn't something I've really gotten into, so I might not be the best source for enchantment ideas. I've thought about trying it though. Do you have thoughts on what I should try whittling next?"
"About those boots, I just wanted to check: the enchantment wears off when taking off the boots right? And there is no trick to taking them off? Do you mind if I try them outside?" Ooc: also what is the listed price of the boots?

"Oh, yes, those caterpillars were quite slippery," Suree agrees. "I didn't find any, I kept getting distracted by the decor. I believe Treg found a couple, though."
They accept the minotaur and look it over. "Wow, such craftsmanship. Wood infused with metal. Hmm...make it produce milk? I see, I see...could be useful to a mother who wants a break from feeding."
"Do you think it's a good idea to give a baby a toy with a real metal axe?" Mila calls out.
"Oh, hmm, yes, that's probably a good point," Suree reconsiders. "Well, I'm sure I can think of something. I suppose I don't really know what kids are into these days. Maybe something more for adults then. Like a collectable. You know, I heard some wyndlings made an appearance at the night market. I didn't see any, but I bet they would make interesting tchotchkes, if you know what one looks like."
They look over at the boots referenced. "Oh, those? Oh, yes, they only activate once worn. But...well, are you a fairly strong swimmer, would you say?" they ask, a bit concerned. "I only ask because the last person who tried them on, well, we had a devil of a time fishing them back out of the ground again." The price is currently set at 250 GP.

"Oh, so you're looking to buy?" asks Suree. "Well, I'll need to come out with you if you take them outside then. Treg, keep an eye on the counter for a minute?"

"Is there an easy way to get to your roof? Chispa, Zencho can I get your help? Seeboe, did you prepare 'create or destroy water' today?"

Chispa observes the conversation quietly, hoping to be able to shine some light of the wood/metal infusion, but instead when asked for help she asks in her usual "polite" manner, "What are you up to Vulpi?"

Seeboe being curious at all the wonderful items but wary of touching anything puts his his hands at his side and carefully looks to see what he can. Laughing to himself at one one of the few times he wished he was taller.
