Welcome to Lost Souls.
This forum was originally meant as a simple feature of my old chat-based AD&D games. It was used by myself and the players to keep track of their inventories, stats, backstories and so forth, but also in discussing the game and deciding on when to hold sessions.
Over the years, I found it more and more difficult to find the time to run 6-8 hour sessions each week, and eventually was forced to turn my games from play-by-chat to play-by-post.
This brings us to the present, where I am relaunching Lost Souls--not just for my own games, but as a hub for other games, too. Anyone can start and run any game here. My hope is to foster a community of roleplayers where we can all have fun running and playing in a variety of different games.
We only really have one rule here, but it's an important one--to respect everyone else. There is no room for assholes here.
With that in mind, have fun!

Whisper Command
Using the 'Shhh' button, you can send a whisper. This is a message that can only be seen by you and whoever else you choose.
However, the whisper command is very finicky. You have to do it just so, or it doesn't work. Things to keep in mind when choosing who to send a whisper to:
Don't include the '@' in a person's user name.
Only whisper to the person's user name, not their display name. You can see their user name by hovering your mouse icon over the display name. For instance, a whisper to me should be directed to 'admin' not 'Daos.'
Lowercase only. Again, a whisper to me should be toward 'admin.' Sending a whisper to 'Admin' or 'ADMIN' won't work.
Note that sometimes whispers do not show up on mobile devices, even if they are directed to you.
Further, be cautious of editing a post with a whisper in it. Sometimes the whisper will vanish. If this happens, back out and then hit 'edit' again. Sometimes you have to do this several times to get it to reappear. Make sure the whisper isn't missing when you submit the edit, or it will be erased.

Auto-Save Posts
Go to your profile, click on 'Edit Profile' and choose the Settings tab. There's an option to 'Enable Drafts.' Click on 'yes.' Now if you accidentally back out of an unfinished post, the forum will save it for you, and you won't lose it.
