Daos,
I am curious where are we off too after Daggerdale? Also didn't you mention splitting this into two different games one a 2e game the other a 5e game?

I was going to wait until the module ended to bring it up, but essentially my plan was to poll the remaining players (which at this point, I guess are just you and Dram) and ask a series of questions to determine the next adventure. The plan is to transfer your characters over to the new module, unless for some reason you don't want to, in which case you can reroll. Once a new module is chosen, I'll see about recruiting new players to fill out the ranks again.
As for splitting Module Matinee into two sections, by that I meant I was going to run a 2E module and a 5E module at the same time. Which I am now doing (Doom of Daggerdale for 2E, and Lost Mine of Phandelver for 5E. Originally, I was going to host them both in the same sub-forum. So you would click on Module Matinee, then click on either the 2E game or the 5E game. But that felt kind of convoluted, so I decided to just host them in their own separate sub-forums.

Sounds good to me Daos. I would plan to keep Drezden the dwarven ranger. As for what we play doesn't entirely matter to me.

You actually bring up a decent point Dram I can run two characters together I've had to do it before. Entirely up to you Daos.

I appreciate the offer, but that's alright. I'd rather fill the missing slots with new players, and raise the population and site traffic as a result.

Okay, I've closed the chapter and tallied XP. Drezden was the only PC to earn enough to level up. So Greywolf will need to roll a 1d10+3 for HP and choose his species enemy.
While I make some updates to my notes, how did everyone like the module? Any questions now that spoilers are no longer an issue?

Yeah, I don't think nightshades appear in any other module besides this one.
But, I usually allow species enemies to be more of a broad grouping than a singular species. So instead of nightshades, you could go with 'evil fey.' Likewise, with hobgoblins, we can expand that to goblinoids, so goblins, hobgoblins, and bugbears, as well.

alright well then I'll go goblinoids, evil fey likely not as common, so I'll stick with goblinoids.

Okay, Drezden is leveled up.
Now let's talk treasure distribution. Here's the full tally:
Potion of Heroism Potion of Flying Amber (x3) worth 40 GP each 20 SP Net of Dreams Potions of Healing (x2) Potion of Growth Potion of Plant Control Potion of Invisibility Potion of Gaseous Form Herbarium Maleficum (500 GP)
On the Aspects of Dreams, Or the Dreamers Travels in Planes Lesser and Greater (500 GP) Ring of Thorns
Not a whole lot, as the party missed a lot, including Colderan's hidden strongboxes (secret room). The two books are the most valuable, in terms of resale value.
As far as the magical items, Margarita can identify them and tell you the following about them.
Net of Dreams (XP 3,000)
The Net of Dreams has opalescent, circular net is three feet in diameter and woven of thousands of silky strands. Once each night it can capture the dreaming life energy of a sleeping creature. Any creature of 10 or more levels or HD can tear a net of dreams apart and escape.
To capture a sleepers life energy, the net must be cast within 100 feet of the sleeping target. The target is allowed a saving throw versus death magic. If it fails, the victim is captured and allowed a single attempt to escape as the net is drawn in. The victim can make one unmodified attack roll against the net holder. If he hits, the net opens and the victim escapes, remembering the entire episode as a vivid, confining nightmare. If the roll fails, the victim is caught. The entire net shimmers when it contains an active life force; no new victims can be captured while a life force is in the net. However, once entrapped, a life force can be magically withdrawn from the net and kept caged, allowing the net to be used to capture another victim. Without his life force, a sleeper will contract Dream Fever and slowly die. Only one net of dreams now exists, created by the Mage-Lord Colderan and buried with him. To make more nets requires the scales from a gloomwing moth, an intact phase spider web hung with morning dew, and the breath of a sleeping dragon. The net of dreams can capture negative energy as well as positive, making it effective against wraiths, shadows, haunts, spectres, and other undead that exist largely on the Negative material plane. Vampires, wights, and other material undead are unaffected; ghosts and liches are too powerful to be held. A net containing a negative life force shimmers black.
Ring of Thorns (XP Unknown)
Colderan's ring of thorns is a unique item of his own creation. It allows the wearer to cast entangle (1 charge), pass plant (2 charges), and wall of thorns (3 charges). The ring currently has 20 charges remaining. Though it can be recharged, only Colderan knows how, and that knowledge has died with him.
===========
So if you want to sell the books and the amber, then split the coin between you all, that's easy enough. The magical items, though, including the potions, will need to be divided up between the party members.

I would say take a potion of healing and heroism for Drezden the net I think we need to destroy or lock up not entirely sure we want something of this nature out there for anyone to use again. I like the ring of thorns but think it is better on a caster or druid. I'd just assume sell the amber.

Yeah, selling the amber and dividing the profits would be easiest.
You can destroy the Net of Dreams easily enough, assuming there is no disagreement. But what about the two books? The Herbarium Maleficum gives details on how to create nightshades, while On the Aspects of Dreams gives instructions on how to make more Nets of Dreams. You could sell either or both for quite a bit of money, on the other hand.
Dram, you want to claim any of these items or have any thoughts on this?
