I would be willing to play Doom of Daggerdale, would we be using the spell compendium as well, or just PHB?

I don't use the Spell Compendiums, no.

You might add that we already completed doom of dagger dale as well and are transitioning to a different module, The Accursed Tower.

By the way, there are a couple of open slots for The Accursed Tower, should anyone be interested. The party is currently in a good place to welcome new members, as they just arrived in town and are just relaxing a bit.

I am interested! What are the character creation guidelines for a late comer? GP/magic items and the like an option?
Edit: Playing the Accursed Tower referenced above.

Sorry for the double post. I am not sure how the rolling goes on this forum, so I will give it a try...

This isn't really the best time to bring in anyone new into The Accursed Tower. The party is waist deep in the final dungeon. However, once the module is complete and we start the process of choosing a new one, you're more than welcome to join up. I'll make an announcement at that time for anyone else who might be interested.

It will take me some time to create a character as I like to think about them a bit first.

The new module we're going to run is Sword of the Dales. If anyone is interested in joining up, now is a good time for it. This is 2nd Edition AD&D, house ruled. It will be set in Forgotten Realms, in Daggerdale, in the year 1369 DR. I'm looking for one, maybe two players. Current party roster is: --1) Male Dwarf Ranger --2) Male Elf Bladesinger --3) Male Half-Elf Fighter/Priest of Tempus I prefer a pacing of about once a day. New PCs will be level 1 and have standard starting gold. Only one kit per character. Rolling for characters will be 4d6, drop the lowest. Any questions, let me know.

looks like the party could use some roguery... How do you feel about a Kender Handler (rogue)/cleric

Tristen, this is a surprise.
Well, I'd ask if you have an explanation for how a kender wound up in Forgotten Realms. Stowed away on a spelljammer? Fell through a portal in Sigil and took a wrong turn? Would he be a cleric of a Dragonlance deity or a Forgotten Realms one?

[Hopefully not an unpleasant surprise, mention of Kender notwithstanding]
As for 'how', well i'm open to anything, but i think you'll agree that Kender are famous (or infamous) for tumbling into things they don't understand. So portal, device, spelljammer ship, etc all are fair game in my mind. This is actually a re-envisioning of an old char of mine who started in Sithicus, so perhaps the mists took him...
As for a diety, his former iterations paid devotion to "uncle trapspringer"
if not, any 'trickster' god in the campaign world might 'pose' as Uncle trapspringer just for fun or a few more followers [one notable diety is the gnomish trickster god Baervan Wildwanderer from forgotten realms].
And if you adjudicate that such things are unbefitting the campaign, frankly the spirit for this character is more the point, so perhaps he is just a silly rogue conviced that 'uncle trapspringer' watches over him

No, it's quite pleasant. In fact, it's a shame you didn't swing by back when I was recruiting for Past Glory; you could have brought Grubnick/Gobax back.
Anyway, yeah, kender do have a tendency to turn up just about anywhere, including Forgotten Realms. In fact, I do recall that Emilio Haversack the kender shows up in one of the FR novels--Tymora's Luck, I think it was. (I do like the idea of the Mists of Ravenloft sucking your character in, then deciding that no, this place was bad enough without a kender, and spitting them back out on Toril.)
As for being a follower of Uncle Trapspringer...I'm okay with it. Module Matinee tends to be anything goes, for the most part. I even let someone play a 9 year old Invoker once, so...this is hardly the weirdest submission I've received.
The only thing I'm puzzled about is the part where it says this: "Upon reaching third level, can move upon all roads and paths at normal movement rate." I'm not sure what that means. Doesn't everyone move at normal movement rate on roads?

Grubnick was so much fun to play. I just didnt have much free time at the termination of that campaign. (frankly i'm a bit embarrassed at my sad posting rate towards the end there.)
Hahah, yes most of the Kender in Sithicus have been turned into vampires (Ref: "When black Roses Bloom" module or "Demiplsnes of Dread" box set), and that figures into the backstory of Kendrivel's original iteration. But i love the idea that Ravenloft just couldnt -stand- to have an upbeat kender and shunted him aside
And regarding the 'roads' reference, i mainly use that link for pathos, not details. So anything about the priesthood presented that seems un-workable or outright absurd, just truncate it. the only thing I can think of would be like a light path (game trail?) through the woods that might have some slight movement penalty, or a road with a conditional penalty (muddy dirt road?). but as I mentioned before it's more about the flavor for him than bonuses/abilities
