Probably my favorite show still on the air, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is back! Rad, I just caught up to it last week I really liked alternate-universe STEM season. Poor Fitz :/ Also a good weekend for me: new episodes of all my favorite shows! I forgot they made a new duck tales. I was never into the original series way back when but the animation looks good.

They are saying this might be the last season of Agents of SHIELD, hence the Friday night death slot. I hope it's not true, but five seasons is a good run. Since Most Wanted never got off the ground and Agent Carter was cancelled, I hope they have something in mind to replace SHIELD with if that is the case, though.
And the new Duck Tales is great. While the old show was episodic, as most cartoons were back in the day, this one has continuity and character development. The triplets have their own distinct personalities, some of the characters have been tweaked to be more interesting (Webby, Gyro, etc.) and they've introduced new ones, too. Lots of subtle references to Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop and Talespin, too. The writing's pretty sharp, too and the animation is very smooth.

Don't they have an inhumans show that's come out/is coming out? The show's still pretty good, but I can see why if they're winding it down-they'd have to replace most of the cast soon with new people, since most everyone's plot lines have been slowly filled in. Agent Carter was such a shame, because the first season was pure gold, and the second was just of really poor quality. Lots of subtle references to Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop and Talespin, too. The writing's pretty sharp, too and the animation is very smooth. Neat. In other news, me and Ezeze are slowly inching through Jessica Jones, which is kind of a slog because neither of us really likes Jessica Jones as a person and Kilgrave is annoyingly piss-poor at using his powers, but we want to watch everything so we get inter-show references. We tried watching the show based on the Shannara Series by Terry Brooks, the first episode was laughably bad- Ezeze really liked it at least.

First season of Inhumans is already done. And probably won't be continued. It was pretty bad on every level. There were rumors it was canceled before it even started, and while there has been no official word yet, I'd be incredibly surprised if it got a second season. I like Shannara Chronicles, too. It can be a tad twee at times, but I overall enjoy it. The second season messed me up at points. I remember there was one point where an episode ended, no spoilers, where I actually shouted out the f-word out loud despite being alone in the apartment.

The main character is an elven princess whose boyfriend is super into her and who has a best friend/servant who would do anything for her and who is super athletic and amazing at swordplay and is the first female member of this elite guard literally called The Chosen and has epic bants with her uncle who thinks she's the coolest person in the world then also has magic prophecy power in addition to all of that.I don't know how they could possibly include any more fantasy-fulfillment tropes unless she was also a vampire. It's hilarious.

To be fair to Amberlee, her character is significantly improved from the books, where she was a helpless damsel in distress. More of a plot macguffin than a person.

To put it one way, I honestly didn't remember her at all from the books, so that tells you something i guess? Then again, the last time I read the books was when I was in like 4th grade. I preferred Brooks' Landover series more(gotta read the rest of them someday actually now I think about it)

Ooh, could it be a backdoor pilot to test the waters about rebooting Darkwing, too? I'd be all for that, personally.

Darkwing was always fun, but it wasn't my favorite duck-based cartoon ....Looking back at the cartoons and stuff I watched growing up has made me realize how weird my childhood was

Which one? The original? The animated? The Next Generation? Deep Space Nine? Voyager? Enterprise? Discovery?

Next Generation, I would have liked to see the original, but that isn't on Netflix any more.
