That's me! I've got some questions for you, Mr. Osfer Fire away You have dedicated yourself to honor despite your family's teasing and the outright ridicule of the merchant heads of Shipshaven. What does 'honor' mean to you? What - or who - determines what is honorable and what is not? A life lived taking the 'easy' path is no life lived. Honor is bowing to compassion and justice over expediency and personal gain. His family doesn't understand the path he takes, even if they practice a form of it. You can't 'cheat' to make an apple tree grow faster, or treat it poorly and expect a good harvest. You can't lie without it coming back to bite you. So they may tease him about it, but his concept of honor stems from long memories of honest negotiation and the humble desire to put in the work that's needed. When was the last time you did something dishonorable? Osfer's time training was neither short nor pleasant. He was teased and ridiculed by the other squires and pages for his size and his family's lack of proper peerage. When someone new was enrolled in his first year of training, the bullying lessened since his tormentors had someone else to tease and haze. One time, Osfer stumbled on a half dozen young knights picking an unfair fight with the poor soul. Instead of confronting them or alerting anyone he sneaked away before any of them could notice, abandoning the young page to their fate. The shame of it still haunts him.
