"I'm afraid not, friend Grognak. I believe the lady is attempting to get into my good graces, not set me up as an innkeep," Dorias chuckles. "If you want something other than water or wine, you may need to win yourself an admirer of your own. I'm happy to help polish your social graces if you like."
"No, Runt," Dorias gently chides the draconian. "It may not matter to you, or even to lady Ravarie herself, but it's my wine and I must insist we comport ourselves as civilized folk. Which means ladies first - always ladies first." Filling up his own cup, he offers it to Ravarie. "M'lady, your drink."

"mnn? Was going to pour for her and you first."He rolls his eyes and snorts at Dorias's assumption, though he says nothing more since the half-elf still holds the decanter of wine.

Reaching into her pouch, Teakettle fishes around and then randomly pulls out the first thing she grabs, which happens to be a bottle of Greek fire. There's no telling where she even got that; likely someone dropped it somewhere, maybe one of the other gladiators.

"My apologies then, I misread your intentions friend Runt. By all means, pour away."

Teakettle pulls a jar of highly flammable tar from her pouch, there in the middle of the room visible to everyone, and contemplates it with a look of mixed confusion and surprise for a good minute trying to decide what to do with it now that she has it.

"Mm."The bass rumble in Runt's chest was more than enough to show his displeasure at being so maligned, but the thought of the wine crossing his tongue is more than enough to mollify him. He makes sure both Dorias and Ravarie have a cup, and if his barely keeps itself from overflowing well, the half-elf can consider it a tax for his poor assumptions. Glancing around the room, he even, magnanimously, leaves a small sliver of wine leftover should the Kender want some.
The Draconian closes his eyes and fans his wings with a look of pleasure as the wine pours itself across his tongue. His dim red eyes seemed to glow in the dim cell, far more alert than when they'd shut.

“What you looking for, Small One?” Grognak asks, looking over at his Kender companion.

Ravarie watches the exchange between Runt and Dorias curiously, even after she takes her cup and starts sipping at the wine. ~People are weird,~ she thinks to herself. She doesn't understand why she had to be first, and why Runt wanted to pour the wine in the first place. It seems so foreign to her to worry about such things. "Oh, uh, thanks," she finally says.

“What you looking for, Small One?” Grognak asks, looking over at his Kender companion. "I thought I had some bits of wire" Teakettle explains "-but I just have this explosive instead?" Her voice is full of confusion.

“Wires?” Grognak remarks with confusion. “Oh, to open lock? Should not explosive work?”

Teakettle shakes her head 'no.'
"It could set the lock on fire, but I don't think it would melt enough to come off."

"And if you manage to burn the lock off, what then? If we walk now, we had best keep running once we're out, because there's no way we'll convince the ogres that we ever intended anything but an escape if we return to this cell with the lock destroyed."

"Huh?" Teakettle takes a second to parse what Rax said.
"Oh. Yeah, I guess we could try to escape. But mostly I wanted to know what they were talking about."

As they talk, the plodding footsteps of someone large approaching can be heard from the other side of the door, even by those that don't have keen hearing. Ogres are many things, but rarely are they stealthy.
There's a loud 'cha-chunk' sound as the door unlocks, and then opens to reveal Bolbus. He has a rather sour look on his face--more so than usual--and dark rings under his eyes, suggesting he hasn't slept much lately. "Good, you're all up," he comments, glancing around the room. "There's a match scheduled today. Finish up what you're doing and gear up."

"As you wish," Dorias responds with a quizzical look. "May I say, sir, that you seem somewhat out of sorts today? Is there something the matter?"
