Yeah, go for it. Just use the Create Thread button (upper right in the sub-forum) to make a new recruitment thread. The more games, the better, I say.

I'm interested in running Princes of the Apocalypse. That was actually the game we tried running when we split our IRL group into two parties. It didn't end very well, but that was mostly because all the kids who weren't super interested ended up in one group. I'm happy to run it, although I understand the cheesecake pirates aren't part of the module.

Do you have a copy of it, or should I send you the pdf for it?

About the Dragonlance modules, how long are they? Where are they set on the timeline?

Depends on which ones.
The above are the original Chronicles series, so take place during the War of the Lance, in 351 AC. Each one by itself isn't too long, but all of them put together is quite an epic campaign that will take the party from levels 4-6 to 10-14. They come with pregens, which are the Heroes of the Lance (Tanis, Sturm, etc.). Most of the modules are between 30-35 pages long, but a couple get up as high as the 40's and one is even 68 pages long.
Mists of Krynn is not a single adventure, but a collection of random adventures, any of which could be used. All of them are pretty short. Each adventure takes place in a different place or time, but most are either during or fairly close before or after the War of the Lance, and can range from level 0 all the way to 15.
These two are part of the DLQ series. They were supposed to be a trilogy, I think, but the third one was never made. They take place about 10-15 years after the War of the Lance. They come with pregens, too. The first one focuses on the Knights of Solamnia (and indeed, at least one player must be a KoS for it to work) and the second on the dwarves. They are both 32 pages long.
Tree Lords is part of the DLS series, although it is completely stand-alone. It takes place in 353 AC, right after the War of the Lance, and focuses on clearing out Lorac's Nightmare from Silvanesti. It's meant to take the party from levels 1-2 to 7-9. It's more of a series of scenarios strung together than a full blown campaign. It is 32 pages long.
Dragon Dawn is the first of the DLA trilogy, which takes place on the continent of Taladas, as opposed to Ansalon. It starts at 348 AC and comes with pregens. It starts at level 5-6 or so. It's 64 pages long.
These are the first two of the 3E conversion of the original Chronicles. A little more fleshed out, streamlined and made for 3E instead of 1E, but otherwise the same thing. They are each about 170-180 pages long each.
This is the Age of Mortals Trilogy. As the name suggests, they take place in the 5th Age, in the year 422 AC (39 SC). Collectively, they bring a party from 1st level to 20th level. Key of Destiny is 128 pages long, Spectre of Sorrows is 192 pages long, and Price of Courage is a whopping 362 pages long.

So the 1e ones, are simply retelling the books? It's a bit wierd concept for a roleplay.. isnt it? Beside the mist one.
---
Knight Sword and Flint's Axe sound intresting. Hm. -- The Age Of Mortals Trilogy sound intresting as well, but scary.

Well, keep in mind that the novels are based on the modules. The first module came out a few months before the first novel did. It can have issues, though, if you are playing with people who have read the books. I ran Dragons of Despair and Dragons of Flame once (converted to 2E), years ago, and half my players were deliberately trying to force the game to conform with the books, and the other half were deliberately trying to do the opposite, so it caused a lot of friction. For instance, after escaping Solace, half of the party were very insistent that they head to the Darken Wood. When pressed why, they couldn't give any kind of in-character justification for it; it was pretty clear they had read the books, knew that going into the Darken Wood was what the party did in the books, and were just trying to force it to happen anyway.
I ran Knight's Sword, too, years ago, and it did go better. Well, actually the game ended in a TPK because in the final battle, I couldn't stop rolling 20s; as a result, we never were able to move on to Flint's Axe. But aside from that, it went well. The only real problem I remember, is that it opens up on a squire (a PC) taking his trials to become a Knight. There's not really anything else for the other party members to do other than watch the tournament, which can be a bit boring for them (especially in a play-by-post game), at least until the trial ends. My players were cool with it, though, even though I offered to try and come up with something for them to do.
I've never run or played the Age of Mortals trilogy. I did once read a campaign journal for them, years ago, over on the Dragonlance forums. It seemed pretty good, from what I remember.

Intresting. Did you ran the original module with the pregens or original characters?
-- Hmm. I guess making all solmanic group wouldn't work? Also, maybe it wrong to take inspiration from G.R.R. Martin, but more forces can be at wirk during a tourney- Crime factions with gambling could intrest the rogue-ish character. High lord politics might intrest the bard and etc. I am not sure if it will work. But.
-- The mortal age trilogy looks tempting, but quite scary... But probably statisfying as Abyss to finish.

When I ran the first two from Chronicles, at first I used the pregens. But it caused a problem, because I had a number of female players, but Goldmoon was the only woman in the group (at least, at first). So I made Tika and Laurana playable right away; we decided Tika leaves with the party when they escape from Solace and Laurana had run away from home to find Tanis. (I also offered to make Kitiara playable, but nobody wanted her.) I then changed it so players could roll up their own original characters. If I were to do it again, I'd probably do both. Offer the pregens, but allow anyone who wants to roll up their own character, as well. As long as the major archetypes still fit, I think it would work. The 3E version offered this explanation that I found really helpful in figuring out the 'roles' of the party needed for the adventure if you are going to swap out the pregens:
By an 'all Solamnic group,' do you mean everyone in the party are Knights? I suppose that could be done, but it would be a rather limited party; no magic users or rogues or wilderness characters.
And yeah, the Age of Mortals is quite an undertaking. But if you are feeling intimidated, I suppose you could just stick to the first module. If it goes well, then you can move on to the second. If not, you can just end it there.

I've run some Legend of Five Rings, and there are lots of things for non-knights to do. Competitions or displays of story telling, poetry, history, or such. Mages competing for students, doing displays of pyrotechnics, or full on spell duels via illusions and Arcana checks. Archery or falconry for rangers or hunters, three card monte, or shell games for rogues.
Of course you need to get players to buy into the role play.

Okay, great. I'll send a pdf of it to you with the email you used for this site. Take some time to look it over, get a feel for it, and when you are ready, start up a recruitment thread.
