"I'm a druid of who you call Habbakuk," Ravarie says. "Or as my people call him, The Blue Phoenix."

Dorias coughs in embarrassment at Amalia's mention of the storm. "Ah, yes, the storm. It wrecked our ship and it was only through the grace of Habbakuk that we made it ashore a few miles from here." He stops speaking for a moment and then puts his hand on her shoulder. "Miss Amalia, on our way to Varvil we passed a wrecked fishing boat painted with a kingfisher. There were three bodies nearby...two men and a woman. The pendant belonged to the woman..."

"Then...your arrival here can't be coincidence, can it? Perhaps you are the answer to our prayers," Amalia says. "Habbakuk must have sent you to help our village in its time of crisis."
"What?" Amalia turns her full attention back to Dorias, the miracle forgotten. "What does that mean?" she asks, her eyes watering up. "What are you saying?" She starts shaking her head, as if she could somehow willfully deny the situation.

"I am very sorry Amalia, but I fear your mother and your fiancé are dead," Dorias answers quietly.

Ravarie isn't sure she was sent here to help, but she plans on helping if she can. She tentative places her hand on the woman's shoulder to show some comfort when she starts crying.

Amalia drops to her knees, her entire body wracking with heart-aching sobs. She seems completely inconsolable, and is unable to answer any further questions the party may have for her.

Removing his cloak, Dorias sweeps it around Amalia and drops to his knees next to her. He gently lays an arm over her shoulders and sits quietly with her, letting her cry without interrupting.
OOC: Unless she waves him off or throws him out, Dorias will stay with Amalia until she's all cried out. It's the least he can do, considering that he appears to have inadvertently caused the death of her mother and fiancé.

Ravarie isn't really sure what to do, and lets Dorias take over. "Um, we will wait outside," she says to Dorias before leaving and ushering Grognok with her.

Grognak follows behind Ravarie, leaving Amalia to her mourning.

After about ten minutes, Amalia seems to tire herself out. She mumbles a thanks to Dorias for sitting with her, says she isn't feeling good, and lies down in her bed. Dorias rejoins the others outside afterward.

"Of course, miss. For what it's worth, my companions and I shall do our best to find out why these troubles are afflicting your village and if we can, we will put a stop to them."
Stepping back outside, Dorias nods to his friends. "That poor girl is suffering most cruelly and it seems that the loss of her mother and fiancé must be laid at D'halla's feet. To some extent, that makes it my fault as well. But the other troubles affecting this village, they all happened before the storm. I have promised Amalia that we will do all we can to find out what's going on and put a stop to it. Can I count on your help?"

"Of course. I am concerned about these wolves," she says. "Should we gather my companions, and look into it?'

As they speak, a woman approaches, wrapped up in a cloak and hood to protect herself from the oncoming chill of night. She is older than Amalia, perhaps in her late thirties or early forties with dark skin and brown eyes. "I saw you come out of Amalia's house. Who are you, why are you here?" she demands.

"Erm," Ravarie says, not sure how to reply to the woman. "We, uh, came here to ask about the wolf attacks."
