Johannes looks him over curiously. “Did you...have trouble sleeping last night?” he asks.

Imrich waits impassively for Flinn to reply to Johannes' question.

"Yeah, our friends also had terrible nightmares at lack sleep..." Senllip adds and looks around if the little girl is there.

Kalana and Jaeron (Temple of Octhanus) "Well, of course," Saren replies. "Numerous refugees have experienced nightmares since the attack on their city. I'd say most of them, even. They've been through some horrific stuff. I've received reports of anxiety, depression, nightmares, panic attacks, catatonia, and a number of other conditions."
"It happens to a lot of people who go through traumatic stuff," the gnome pipes in. "We see it all the time in our work."
Senllip, Johannas and Imrich (Refugee Camp) "I have trouble sleeping every night, when I sleep at all," Flinn admits, rubbing at his eyes. "There's always a fire to put out. Leadership isn't as glorious as the bards like to claim."
Flinn's daughter is by his side always, never moving further than a foot away from him no matter where he moves to. She never speaks, just watches the party silently.

"Any nightmares? Two of our crew had mysterious nightmares relating to their past last night," Johannes explains. "And we suspect it may have something to do with the deaths."

"While I understand having nightmares after what happened in Tu'valie," Kalana says. "I'm talking about nightmares about the past, perhaps even the distant past," she explains. "I'm not exactly willing to share my nightmare, but in a way it kind of felt like I was reliving it."

"Very intense nightmares, from what our companions told us," Imrich adds. "And though I understand it may be a painful subject, how about your daughter? Does she sleep well?"

Kalana and Jaeron (Temple of Octhanus) "No, I haven't received any reports on anything like that," Saren answers. "But then, I wouldn't expect anyone who was having old nightmares to feel the need to report it."
Senllip, Johannas and Imrich (Refugee Camp) "Nightmares? Yes, most of the refugees have them nightly," Flinn says. "Part of why I don't get much sleep myself. It's hard to rest when every few minutes someone screams in their sleep. As for me...I don't think so? Or at least, I don't remember any. As for my daughter," he says, putting a hand on the top of her head. She looks up at him but says nothing. "I sometimes hear her cry softly in her sleep, but what she's dreaming about, she won't say. It's easy enough to guess, though."

Jaeron "How about people reliving a terrible time in their past as that really is what mine was a nightmare of one of the worst days in my past."

"I can't speak for Jaeron, but I haven't had this nightmare in awhile now," Kalana admits. "But it is starting to look like maybe our theory might be wrong if no one has reported nightmares like ours."

Jaeron "No I haven't had this nightmare since the time it happened so many many years."

"The strange thing about the nightmares our friends suffered last night is the sudden onset. As you can probably guess, we are considering whether there might be a link between the nightmares and the sudden deaths afflicting your people. Both are things that began happening without warning since we all arrived on Sanctuary," Imrich notes.
As he speaks, he silently activates his ability to detect magic and scans both Flinn and his daughter for magical radiation.

Kalana and Jaeron (Temple of Octhanus) "I suspect many of the refugees are having nightmares about the worst day in their past, as well," Saren says to Jaeron. "It's just a different day than your own."
"And what was your theory?" Saren asks Kalana.
Senllip, Johannas and Imrich (Refugee Camp) "I've never heard of nightmares killing before," Flinn says. "But then again, I had never heard of frog monsters falling from a dragon skeleton either, and that was a thing that definitely happened. But if nightmares are killing people then...then more or less the entire refugee camp is in danger. How do you even stop something like that? We all got to sleep sooner or later."
Flinn radiates no magic at all, but the child does. There is a simple pendant around her neck that seems to faintly glow of enchantment.

"Oh, it needn't be the nightmares themselves that are killing people, but perhaps whatever is causing the nightmares is also causing the deaths," Imrich replies. "But of course, this is only conjecture on our part...so far. By the way, that's a pretty pendant your daughter has. Magic, is it?" he asks off-handedly.

"That somehow these nightmares are connected to the deaths," Kalana says. "It would be easy to disguise a curse of some sort with these refugees as they must went through something traumatic."
