Is he? He gets 3 NWP slots for class, 1 for level, and 1 for intelligence. That adds up to 5. Gem Cutting and Reading/Writing both cost 2 slots each, so that should add up, right?

Marik's bio:
Appearance Marik is twenty-four years old. He has short black hair and hazel eyes. He has a slender form, which helps him out maneuver his way out of tough situations. Usually, he wears clothes of dark colors, such as black or navy blue. On his belt are a pair of sheathed short swords. He keeps his hair out of his eyes with a bandanna. Marik has a sort of "roguish" handsomeness to him, the kind of person mothers would keep their daughters from, and that daughters would date just to rebel.
Personality Marik lives for survival. He rarely does anything helpful or harmful unless it benefits him in some way. He always plans ahead, never rushing into a situation. Although not all that friendly by nature, he is quite apt at faking it in order to make a good business deal. Unknown to most, Marik is has a very frail constitution. He appears healthy and fit most of the time, but even the weakest of viruses can wreak havoc on his body. As a result, he drinks and eats as healthy as he can. He also will "attach" himself to any healer he encounters, in hopes of staying well. He's also fairly frightened of undead, which remind him of his own mortality. Marik hates loud, pushy braggarts. He tends more inclined to help out shy, soft-spoken people. Ironically, he is very opinionated himself. He'll often flirt with women, but usually just to find out information or to sell some gems.
History Marik was born in the town of Port Valour, near Castle Hart. His father was a jeweler who worked in the town. His mother died in childbirth, so he never knew her. She was always a sickly woman, and that poor constitution sadly passed on to Marik.
Marik's father had an obsession with finding a mythical gemstone called the Amethyst Egg. He dedicated his life to finding it, as it was said to be worth thousands, perhaps even millions, of gold pieces and possessed incredible healing powers. One day, his father went on another of many expeditions to find the egg, but never returned. He is presumed dead.
Marik has taken up his father's mantle and began his own search for it. He was in the city of Greatwall, following up on a lead that led to yet another dead end, when the war broke out. Now his search is put on hold, as he tries to survive.

My error. I did not take into account the cross-category for Reading/Writing. For Daos and the rest - please put your character sheets in the thread THE Heroes of Greyhawk as Justin Tyme has done. Starting Gold 4_OzVTfk5d4Margrave , what does a healing potion cost? I’m pretty sure I don’t have money for it. Thinking about a war/guard dog, or pair of said furry friends. What would dog boarding cost me? Leather, studded, no need for metal. 5d4

As mentioned in the message, the dagger is a no go, so you will want to make changes as such for Chert.
For everyone, let me know if you plan on doing anything other than go with the sergeant and the men-at-arms. Also understand that this is wartime where citizens, soldiers and freelancers such as yourself are subject to the orders that extend from the king to his army.

Tagging? Just type the player's username with an '@' symbol in front of it. (It has to be their user name, not their display name. And it must be all lowercase to work.)
