I recently made a homebrew setting and campaign basically from the ground up to run for my IRL (relatively speaking) D&D group. The only issue is that our current pace is incredibly slow. We've had three sessions, and we've had one fight and only just left the first town. If this keeps up, it might be a year before I get to run it. As such, I thought I might try running it on here as a sort of playtest, if people are interested. I do feel like it's going to be a setting that keeps getting played in and refined, similar to Lost Souls, but only if people like it.

I'd be game. Is this the same setting as Wrath of Darkeye? No--and to be honest, I think calling it a setting is rather generous. WoD had a page or two of notes, this game has ~60. I even drew up a nice little map.

Nice. Regardless, you mind if I just re-use my Daos character from WoD?

Is there anything we should know about the world? I'm thinking of a Dwarven brawler of some sort, likely a Barbarian-Monk multiclass. Or barring that some sort of Ranger, probably a Beast Master.
Are there any specific themes or goals to the campaign? Like an impending war or invasion, wilderness or urban focus, or should we assume a standard wandering adventurer style setting.
Thanks in advance and looking forward to more info!

Thanks in advance and looking forward to more info! Dwarves live in the Mortahl Mountains, in the north. Being a Ranger would be interesting, because of religious difference--Dwarf tradition is worship of Thor, but most Rangers follow Persephone, the goddess of nature. That might cause some conflict with his fellow Dwarves, although they are generally civil about religion, unlike Elves and Humans. The campaign is fairly open-world, with a standard wandering adventure style. Somewhere along the way, the party should stumble into the main quest--a search for 7 ancient artifacts, with the goal of reversing a centuries-old magical disaster. Nice. Regardless, you mind if I just re-use my Daos character from WoD? Not at all! If I recall correctly, he was cast out by his parents and was raised as a wizard's apprentice. In that case, he would likely be from New Arcadia, a haven for Mages ruled by a council of elder dragons. EDIT: Apparently, I don't recall correctly. Still, the best place in Othus to hide out is in Parsall, which is convenient, since that's where the game starts.

Cool, I'll probably work on a Dwarven Brawler. My 1st level will be Barbarian, so early on he'll look and appear like a typical Dwarven barbarian, I'm assuming standard point buy for character generation?

I use Point Buy or 4d6 drop 1. Or Standard Array, if you're into that.

Would you prefer to see characters now, or shall we wait to see if there is more interest?

Would you prefer to see characters now, or shall we wait to see if there is more interest? Whichever you prefer, though I doubt we'll start with only 2 players. The game starts with the PCs answering a request for mercenaries in the small town of Ren, so you'll want to think about how you ended up in Parsall.

Yeah, I need to boost up the site's population again. I could try recruiting on GitPG for this game, if that would help.

Sure, if you want to recruit off-site, that's fine by me.
