I am having Flynn appear as mostly human as well. No pointy ears, just more slender features and perhaps slightly extended life span.
Also, I would really like to link backstory. Perhaps bein siblings with some of you or at least distant relatives. In fact, I am willing to change my name to accomplish this. Anyone else interested.

Any information on Elshodi, and the Nation which reveres them? As a folk hero, I am taking the triggering event that Aeryn was approached by some celestial, revealing his divine favor. Mechanically I am using the half elf racial mechanics, to differentiate himself above most humans, with the extended life span and such, but still appearing as strictly human if that works for you. Just curious about the nation, and human civilization so I can start coming up with his background and such. While prejudice against half-elves is less common in Foccu than it once was, many still try to pass off as humans by covering their ears with long hair or a hat. Foccu is a fairly typical Human fantasy kingdom--a monarchy, nobles, lots of farmland and villages. While humans have a reputation for xenophobia second only to elves, most common folk don't really mind. Nobles, however, care a lot more about "pure human blood" among their ranks. Elshodi's religion, taken at face value, preaches a message of harmony, peace, and acceptance. Many of its followers tend to ignore this, focusing on the fact that the Humans were Elshodi's Chosen people. Many fundamentalist groups have emerged, but the official church usually takes an attitude somewhere between passing dismissal and branding them as heretics. With the exception of Foccupolis, Foccu has a bit of a bandit problem. Mercenaries always joke that it's a training ground for up-and-coming adventurers. I imagine that the celestial event would be Elshodi sending yet another person to tell the official church to get their stuff together and stop using his religion to justify racism.

Hmm, I see Daos is playing a wizard. I’ll look elsewhere for ideas.

If not, I can forgo it. I just like the visual of a big, black cat in leathers with a shiny black raven on his shoulder.

Sorry for the delay, I haven't figured out how to get notified off-site when a thread gets posted in. I think your name is fine if you're sticking with pretending you're not actually a noble. There's clearly no way we're related! Our names are totally different! What's "Flynn's" reasoning for why he wants to not be seen as a noble? Haha other than Alonzo being super embarrassing to be associated with if you're trying to be taken seriously. Actually, how does the Republic feel about nobility? Maybe we had very different reactions to the steretypes/expectations- one trying to subvert them, the other epitomizing them.

I rolled a trinket I wanted to make sure you were ok with: A small spyglass with rose-tinted lenses.
If not, I rolled a second one that I like a lot for RP reasons, a ring with five keys and a pewter tag engraved with an arcane symbol. So if you think the first one is too much, all is well.

When I rolled Flynn in a vacuum my thought was that he has romanticized adventuring. He has certain heroes that he has heard of and sang songs about, and when he thinks of them, they weren't stuffy nobles how he viewed his parents. In my original version, his real name was going to be something that didn't evoke heroism or was a name that might be made fun of in his mind... Such as Nigel or Norman. I could very easily reflavor that part. Maybe as the youngest son, he is less serious or concerned about his duties or responsibilities.

Nobility in the traditional sense doesn't really exist in Music, as it's a Democratic Republic. It's ruled by a council of nine elected positions, each named after one of the Nine Muses. However, wealthy merchants and politicians do act as a sort of pseudo-nobility. ...well, this is a bit awkward, because I don't have anything about a Raven Queen in my campaign notes. Lol. Could it be reflavored? If not, I can forgo it. I just like the visual of a big, black cat in leathers with a shiny black raven on his shoulder. How do you feel about Lolth? She's normally associated with spiders, but I could see her taking ravens under her umbrella. This has the added benefit of avoiding being reviled, as many warlocks are, due to the fact that nobody thinks Lolth or Drow exist.

Honestly, a tabaxi from the beastlands with a raven on his shoulder seems like it would fit your description of Persephone. And I don't intend to take any overt warlock things. My plan is a 2 level dip to get the raven and the invocation that gives Deception and Persuasion as skills and one other useful invocation, depending on what role I fill. I would also have 2 first level spell slots that recharge on a short rest and a couple of cantrips. My bonus spells are False Life and Sanctuary. Snow is a kind of nature-boy skill monkey. Planned out to 10 levels, which I doubt we make, he would be Rogue (Scout) 6 or 7, Warlock (Raven Queen analog) 2 maybe 3 for the pact boon , Knowledge Cleric 1 (if I only take 2 lvls of Warlock. I highly doubt anyone would ever even know he is a warlock.

If it is incompatible, I'll skip it. There are other routes I can take, (if we get that far). Will Persephone work for the Raven Queen analog? Or should I scrap that?

There are other routes I can take, (if we get that far). Will Persephone work for the Raven Queen analog? Or should I scrap that? The Raven companion and the hating of undead fit Persephone quite well. However, for those who worship Persephone, a question must be answered: are you a Truist, or a Treeist? All right, I'll explain. Orthodox Persephonite lore teaches that Persephone created the world, but humanity's dabbling in cursed magic and noxious "technology" harmed her just as it harmed the land they lived on. She was forced into slumber in the form of a great tree, and she slumbers to this day. In the far future, however, she will awaken, return the world to its natural state, and punish those who have infected it. Treeist, meanwhile, believe that Persephone is the tree. That is, the Great Persephone Tree is not the goddess Persephone slumbering in the form of a tree, but a goddess tree named Persephone. The two groups get along OK.
