Moving quickly, and staying low, the party circles the canyon to reach the north side and then hurry back toward Greenest--taking care to give a wide berth to the spot where the rearguard had been before.
It is well past midnight when they arrive in Greenest, and the party is exhausted from all that forced marching. Before slipping off to the temple to rejoin his fellow monks, Leosin says, "You have my thanks for rescuing me. But this is far from over. We shall speak again tomorrow. If you are willing, I will have a new task for you."
Bleary-eyed and sore, the party makes their way back to the keep where the graveyard shift guards let them in and show them to the guest rooms that Escobert had made up for them. They're nothing special, but a soft bed and a warm blanket seem like the height of luxury at this point.
