Kalana continues her assault, bloodying the giant red frog-like creature.  Kallian pelts it with a stone, giving it a bloodied nose.  Brax fires twice more, but both shots miss.  The creature tries one more time to open a gate, but Kalana finishes it off with a single sword stroke, banishing it back to its home plane of Limbo.

Brax reloads his pistols and fires his primary (-2 hit) pistol with precise shot (+1 hit) at short range at Slaad 08 [TH 10] (1d20-1): 9-1 = 8, miss. Brax then fires his secondary (-4 hit) pistol with precise shot (+1 hit) at short range at Slaad 07 [TH 10] (1d20-3): 12-3 = 9, miss.
Slaad 08 regenerates 2 HP and attempts to gate in more slaadi (1d100):  63, fail.

"All right!!" Senllip says excitedly. "Good thing we got rid of these amphibians. Way to go everyone! Now lets take the prisoners back to safety and let the priests takes care of the eggs, which we might have been infected by them as well." He looks at Kalana, "And we should also see to rejoining our friend and his parents." He looks around. "Want to take just few minutes to search the place? Maybe there are other prisoners downstairs."

"You know," Kalana says as she takes a minute to catch her breath. "I think you forget who gives the orders around here," she says to Senllip. "Honestly, we aren't sure if that is all of them," she explains. "So, Senllip, go downstairs and sneak around. Make sure it is safe."

"So you want to give the orders and repeat exactly what I say? That's great. As far as it makes you happy, I'm pleased." He grins, truly happy he could make Kalan happy on such difficult day with combat and injuries, and goes quietly downstairs to check the rooms he already knows from their previous visit.

(OOC: Senllip doesn't take hierarchy too seriously, but on the other hand he doesn't object Kalana's leadership or interfere with the group progress. If you remember correctly he never literally agreed she was nominated captain, but he didn't care as far as he could handle the wheel of the ship. He himself doesn't want to be leader, and he never gives orders, just makes suggestions which many times (if not most of the times) were completely ignored such as being prepared to block the croaking effect.
In any case, out of game, I mean no disrespect or something. On the contrary, I listen carefully to each of you, including Daos, write and care very much for each of you in person and tries to pick my words carefully to be able on one hand play the characters in game and on the other hand to make the game fun for all of us. If for some reason you feel otherwise it was not intended and I'm sorry. My English is not the best and sometimes I fail to express myself.

A search of the downstairs area turns up nothing of interest.  There appear to be no further slaadi inside the inn.

Brax combat at an end reloads and puts his pistols back in their holsters. "That it? There anymore o' them buggers?"

"I'm okay," Bayla says.

"As am I," Auli'i adds.

"I'm hoping that is it," Kalana says to Brax. "Once Senllip gives the all clear downstairs, I'm going to grab that chest we found in that one room, and then we are going to lead those that were captured back to town."

Brax nods after Kalana finishes talking about the chest and waiting for an all clear signal. "You need a hand with that chest boss?"

Senllip returns upstairs, "Nothing down. Let's get back to the shore."

"Hmm, most likely. We need to gather the rest of the weapons that they took from us, along with the stuff that Imrich left behind," Kalana says to Brax. "Auli'i, would you gather the prisoners. They will probably be more comfortable around you than the rest of us."
