Princes Of The Apocalypse: Chapter 2--Sacred Stone Monastery

There is one door down a set of stairs, another leading to a staircase, a pair of doors to the west, and a southern hallway with three more doors leading from it.

"These monks sure love their doors," Savra comments.

[Daos]

"Yes, this place is quite a maze," Iroas agrees.  "Any thoughts on where to go next?" he asks the others.

[Igordragonian]

Migor get frusrated and annoyed.
"Maybe we can start trashing rooms until someone will notice us?"

[Daos]

"If we wanted to bring every monk in here down on us, that would have been easy," Iroas points out.  "I thought we were trying to remain undetected, hence all the sneaking around."

[Igordragonian]

Migor.
'Yes. Big brain there, god servant man.' the koblod admit and turn to the next door
'I am just was thinkin' of shortcuts. I guess it won't happen'

[Daos]

"Shortcuts to what, though?  We still aren't entirely sure what it is we are looking for," Iroas admits.  "Documentation of some kind, perhaps?"

[Igordragonian]

Migor nod relcuantly.
"Hmm. Yess. I guesss it right."

and keep looking

[Daos]

Not sure what else to do, Iroas decides on the door leading to the staircase.  "Makes sense that if they are hiding something, it won't be on the ground floor," he reasons.

The stairs lead down into a damp, dark, cavernous area, where a door leads into a a room with a large well, equipped with a winch-and-bucket mechanism. Dirty straw pallets lie tucked into the corners of the room, apparently occupied by the three orogs and one ogre growling suspiciously at you.

One orog, with battle scars and an umkempt beard, approaches the party and growls "The pass sign!"

[Daos]

"Oh, uh...we're new.  They told us you were going to teach us the pass sign," Iroas answers.

There are numerous holes in Daos' story, such as their lack of disguises, and the fact that the teaching of rituals does not normally fall to monsters hiding in the basement. Luckily, orogs are not very smart.

He grunts "Make your fingers a triangle and say 'I serve the Black Earth, got it?"

[Daos]

"Right, got it," Iroas says.  "And do we get uniforms?"

[GravityEmblem]

"Yeah. Don't ask where. I'm the prison guard, not the welcome wagon," the Orog grumbles.

[Daos]

"Perhaps then we can take a shift guarding the prisoners," Iroas offers.  "You all sound like you could use a well-earned break."

He scratches his head and looks down on the party. "...I dunno. It's an important job, and I'm not sure I should just hand it off to a buncha rookies..."
