Yeah, I'll see if I can scrounge one up.
Where did you hear that? But yeah, I haven't been sleeping well the past couple of weeks. I toss and turn more than usual, and keep waking up throughout the night. It's always a very restless, light sleep. I'm not sure why. On nights before work, I take a sleeping pill, because I have terrible insomnia. I've been working so much the past year, though, I suspect I've started building up an immunity to them, and that might be the problem.

I've read it in the Past Glory OOC thread.
I'm sorry to hear this... I'm sure the heat doesn't help. What kind of pills are you taking?

Yeah, we're going to hit around 40 C on Friday up here, which is the second time so far this summer, despite it being a record high for the last century. It's awful, because my apartment complex doesn't have any air conditioning. I have fans running in my bedroom, the living room and the kitchen to try and keep it cool, but it's just not as effective.
I'm currently taking 5 mg of Melatonin. I might need to up the dosage, or maybe switch back to Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride again.

Sometime I suffer from insomnia as well, and I used to take some pills for it but I forgot what they were called. I'll see if I can track them some way.
(For some reason, I thought that Nicholas was a monk Monk, it didn't get to me that he could have been a monk Cleric. Nice!)

Oh, right. This module was made for 2E, and there was no monk class in 2E. In this case, the word monk was used more in the western sense (like a Catholic monk) then the eastern sense (martial artist).
Sort of like how back in 2E, wizard, mage, sorcerer and warlock were all completely interchangeable. Which can be confusing in modern editions for Dragonlance, because it's like, "There's an organization that all mages must join. It's called the Orders of High Sorcery."

Armor/Weapons-wise, how are Nicholas and Oswald equipped? Oswald has a club, Nicholas has a mace. Neither is wearing armor.

Should I roll Initiative? I noticed we didn't use it in the other fights. O: Yeah, go ahead. Since Zombies always go last in initiative, I didn't really see the point of it before, but in this instance, you're facing something a little stronger than a run-of-the-mill zombie.

Ok, for the first round:
Shillelagh fmCRpRAC1d20+5 on the BBEG, if Giunona can't reach him, she'll attack one random zombie out of those that are keeping the citizen
+ Damage 1d8+31d20+5·1d8+3

Sorry, it took me awhile to set everything up. I have a map now, so if you want to change your action now that you can see everyone's placement, let me know. Otherwise, we can go with your previously stated action.

Ahahah sorry Miles, maybe next time ;; I was worried about the hostages, but since they managed to fleed I guess we can be a bit more cautious. Okay, then let's say Giunona will wait there using her Reaction to ready an Attack for the first undead that comes in melee range. If it's possible she'll stop Miles in his track here and tell him to do the same. While I hope Nicholas and Oswald do as they were told and take some rocks to throw while taking cover behind the gate.

Haha, mostly it was just sort of an inside-joke. Miles' plan is basically what I did when I played through this game. I had one spell left. My only companions were George and Nicholas, and a couple of level-0 farmers who I recruited at the temple (unlike Giunona, I did not immediately go to the graveyard, but stopped at the temple first to get some healing, and a few vials of holy water).
I legitimately saw no way to win this with a straight fight. We would be steam-rolled. So I decided to rely on my halfling racial abilities (stealth and throwing stuff).
So I cast my last spell--Invisibility to Undead--on myself and stealthed over to the circle while the others took flanking positions around the circle while in hiding. I got up close to the wight and amazingly enough, rolled a natural 20 when throwing a vial of holy water at it. George, who I had handed a second vial to, sneaked up and threw it and also hit, so we managed to take out the wight in one round. Next round, Halo turned half of the zombies, so we easily mopped up the remaining five after that. It remains to this day one of my favorite, if not my absolute favorite, moments in D&D as a player.

That sound pretty epic! And a good plan, I should make sure to listen more to Miles if we survive this (and the scene itself was pretty funny). Also...I forgot the squares aren't 5 feet 💀 but maybe we can use my mistake to our advantage, hmm Edit: I think it's my third d8 in a row where I roll a 1... My characters don't have the heart to hurt others apparently.

I don't want to metagame, so I'm gonna ask: would Giunona have noticed the cracked walls and the fact that those zombie are going around it?
