Sigh, I was convinced Nicholas acted at a higher initiative than Oswald...then I don't know how to save him Could Nicholas carry Oswald? I'm not sure on how it works.

Let's see...
The PHB says you can "push, drag or lift a weight in pounds up to twice your carrying capacity (or 30 times your STR score). While pushing or dragging weight in excess of your carrying capacity, your speed drops to 5 feet."
I don't have stats on how much Oswald weighs, but the average human adult man is usually around 200 lbs.
Nicholas has a STR of 16. So 16x30 = 480. Sounds like he can do it then.

Oh okay, maybe I'm seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.
But can he do everything in a turn?
Grabbing Oswald's leg as a free action Disengaging as an action Movement to get behind us And then bonus action for Healing Word
?

I think that would work. At least, as far as I've been able to tell.

I was thinking something, Miles seems to be a lvl 3 Fighter (judging by his Second Wind)...Well, if he as Action Surge (don't know if NPCs have all the class abilities they should have), now it would be a good moment to use it for an extra attack on the Wight.

This fight is turning pretty epic, not gonna lie, even though I have an anxiety attack every time I open the IC topic 😩 but holy damn Miles, those damage dice...You could have rolled something over 3 ;_; even just once

I remember being a mess for this fight, too; pretty much the entire first chapter, even. But wights are way scarier in 2E. Normal weapons can't touch them, and each time they touch you, you permanently lose a level (no save). Unless you can find a high level cleric to cast Restoration on you, you have to earn those levels back the slow way. And at level 2, that means you can take two hits and then you're done.

From what you said to me about healing rules, 2e seems way too harsher! I'm glad they did make things easier in all honestly As for now, I'm just praying Miles survives the next attacks from the Wight, then maybe we could both make it, even if he gets downed by the zombies later on the round. Otherwise, eh. I just hope I get at least to kill the Wight before succumbing.

Can I put on hold my turn? I used both my action and bonus action, but I still have my move and free interaction...I want to see how the zombies react to the Wight death first though. (I assume he is dead with 10 damage) Because depending on what happens during his turn and after his death I will act differently. In all of my pbp games, I allow players to make if/then statements. Like, "If A happens, I'll do B. But if C happens, I'll do D instead." That sort of thing.

Hmm, okay, I'll try.
If they start to ignore us/move away, I won't pursue them. I'll look into it further if this happens.
If Miles goes down and the zombie don't react to the wight's death, I'll grab him and run away. (I should be able to based on my calculations).
If he was still up, I'll just tell him to disengage and flee the battle (and run along him, taking the Attacks from the 2 zombies beside me). In the end the most important thing was getting rid of the Wight, no point in taking further risks for 4 zombies, especially for him since he was hurt pretty badly.

Actually... No. But that's because for some reason I thought he was wearing Chain Mail + Shield so I was calculating using their values! I forgot the Greatsword is a 2-handed sword. It shouldn't change anything though, let's see.
We said average human male: 200 lbs + 65 lbs for the Plate Mail for a total of 265
Giunona has 11 Strenght, so that's a 330 carrying capacity. That leaves a 65 lbs up for grabs (and since she's a dwarf her own armour shouldn't count to her carrying capacity if I remember correctly? But even if it was: chain mail is 55 lbs so she's still in the clear).

For the record Miles is not an average man. He's heavier than that, but I think it should still work if you're just dragging him. My math puts him (all of him, including his gear) at around 315 lbs.
