She pauses, looking at the large street in front of her. - " But yeah, I think our best bet is just attempting to move faster than they are able to. Stay ready at my signal." OOC Actions I'm assuming the undead are more present on the street than on the fields, but if Giunona sees otherwise please correct me and I'll change my course of action. If my assumption it's true, we'll just Dash through the fields (obviously keeping watch that we don't run into dangerous situations and trying to avoid fights where it's possible), if I calculated right it should only take 4 rounds to arrive at the temple...Seems pretty safe...or is it? D:

With that decided, the two start dashing through the fields as fast as they can; although Miles seems to slow down to match the dwarf's pace. Most of the zombies are on the roads, but not all, and a few spot and start to give chase; but they are not fast enough to catch up.
By the time the pair reach the doors of the temple, they've collected a small mob of about half a dozen zombies behind them. They only have a minute or so before the zombies catch up.

OOC Actions Reading an action to attack with Sacred Flame, should a zombie enter its range (60 feet).

A small slot in the door slides open, and a pair of eyes peer out at the party. It then quickly shuts and Giunona hears a voice from the other side of the door say, "They're alive! Quickly now!" She hears some shuffling around, as if heavy furniture were being moved, scraping against the floor. The zombies come closer and closer. Finally, the door opens partially, and a very old man ushers them in. "Hurry now, they are nearly upon us."

As she regains her breath, she frantically checks out her surroundings, scanning every face to see who's here. And who's not.

Scanning the room, it looks like there are at least a hundred people packed in here at least, which is about a third of the entire village's population. A number of them are sporting injuries but appear to have been bandaged up.
Giunona is interrupted by the old man who let her in. "Excuse me, but who are you? I've never seen you before, and I'm certain even I would remember someone wearing those vestments." He is dressed much the same as Giunona, wearing the vestments and holy icon of Marthammor Duin. "I am Brother Montrel, I run this shrine. Have you any idea what is going on out there?"

I just arrived in town a few hours ago, I was spending the night at that tavern... What was the name... The owner's name is George, and.. Oh! Wait, where are the others? Did they make it? Nichole's group? Nicholas and Oswald?" - she says, as she gets back to look around for them.

"Ah, the mayor? Yes, yes, she went in and out several times, always bringing back more with her," Montrel answers. "Once we were filled to capacity, she started taking them to her own home, as well as the lord's manor. I pray for her safety."

What about Nicholas? Err, he is a young monk of Lathander, really tall, even for a human." As she describes him, Giunona raises her hand to give a rough estimate of the lad's height.

I see, I hope he's okay..." - she really did, if something were to happen to Nicholas she wouldn't be able to forgive herself. She was the one who convinced him to follow her and then let him go in the middle of a cemetery full of undead. " By the way, this man here is Captain Miles, from the Purple Dragon Army. He could really use some medical attention. We investigated the cemetery and..." - she stops for a few seconds, trying to articulate what they saw. - " It seemed like a case of... Possession? There was a presence inhabiting a corpse who was controlling the other undead, it said a name... Nedrezar, I think? And when we destroyed its body, it manifested as a green fire before gliding away."

"Hmm, interesting," Brother Montel remarks. "Not sure what that could mean." He turns to Captain Miles. "Well, come along with me, young man. I can see about fixing you up. This way, please." He leads the soldier, weaving through the crowd, toward the back of the temple.

Restless to know the fate of her former companions, she starts walking around the crowd of people amassed in the temple, asking around if anyone had seen Nicholas or George's family.

Searching around for familiar faces, Giunona does not see Nicholas or George. But she does find Marco and the rest of his family, huddled up together near the back of the church.
