Arthogate is sort of off in his own little world, and doesn't understand why everyone keeps shouting about ogres, or why everyone is pushing past him to get downstairs, drawing their weapons or readying spells. Antsy for a good fight, Granker rushes down the stairs and straight at the ogre, who is even taller than the gladiator is. He stabs with his katar blade, but the ogre blocks it with his club. Granker then follows up with a punch from his mandoll, striking Tom in the chin before he can recover from the first attack. The ogre staggers back a step, then snarls in anger. "That hurt Tom!" He retaliates with his club, but Granker's thick armor protects him from any serious harm. Parra is next down, getting up close, but instead of striking with her hands, she puts them out before her. Thumbs together, fingers spread, she points them toward the ogre and speaks in the spidery language of the arcane. " Kair tangus miopiar!" she intones, her words reverberating with power. A sudden but brief gout of flame blasts from her fingertips, right at the ogre's face. "No, not Tom's eyebrows!" he cries, rubbing at his face. "Fire bad, fire bad!" Twill is next, dashing down the stairs and off to the side, then loading a small stone into his hoopak. "Give Kitty back now! I just can't stand people who take things that aren't theirs!" he cries, without the slightest trace of self-awareness. He whirls the hoopak overhead to gain some momentum, then unleashes the stone which strikes Tom in the shoulder, probably hard enough to leave a bruise later. Kaelestia is next down, and she joins Twill off to the side. Pointing one hand at the ogre, she uses the other to pull out a bit of foxfire from her pouch. It glows lightly in the darkness of the cellar, then brighter as she calls to Chislev for aid. The World Mother answers, and the foxfire turns into pure blue flame, leaping from Kael's hand to the ogre, engulfing his entire body. "Nooo, not more fire! This is end of Tom! It burns, it burns..!" he cries dramatically. He then hen pauses suddenly, and peers at the blue flame that outlines his form. "Wait...Tom feel no pain. Tom is...immune to fire now!" He laughs triumphantly. "Tom, Master of Fire, burinate you all!" Sha'al moves up next, staying behind the minotaurs, but jabbing at the ogre with his trident's long reach, but the ogre blocks again with his club. Finally, Sumina comes down and begins to pray. She pulls out a small vial of water, blessed by Sargonnas, and sprinkles a bit toward the ogre, calling for the bull-headed god of vengeance to curse the ogre. There is no visible effect, but the incantation seems to rattle Tom a bit, his movements a bit less sure now. ============ InitiativeArthogate: 2 Granker: 3+3 = 6 Parra: 7+1 = 8 Twill: 7+2 = 9 Kaelestia: 7+4 = 11 Sha'al: 5+7 = 12 Ogre: 9+4 = 13 Sumina: 6+50 = 56 Round 01!Arthogate does nothing. Parra was dissapointed. She hoped to get rid of the kender and ally with the ogre. BUT. It did felt statifying to make the bigger creature to squeal.
But she was already out of power. When she tried to recall more spells, or at least the burning hands, instead of words, diagrems and the exact hand gestures she felt numbess.
She wished she didn't lost her one and only beloved shatang. Parra has drawn her dagger with an evil grin. While Grankar fought the ogre on the front, Parra with more motivation then skill tried to backstab the ogre.

Realizing what is happening, Arthogate readies his hammer and rushes down the stairs, joining into the melee with the glowing ogre. He slips in between the two minotaurs and swings, but misses. Granker, finding it easier to hit the ogre with the faerie fire all around it, stabs with his katar and then follows up with a punch from his mandoll. This puts the ogre at on his last legs, and he sways slightly as he tries to stay conscious. The ogre takes a swing at him, but he's thankfully able to throw up his katar in time to block it. Parra draws her dagger but is unable to get behind the ogre, as it has its back to the wall--or more accurately, the mirror on the wall. She stabs anyway, but to no avail. Twill and Kaelestia both sling stones at the ogre. Twill's miss and hits the mirror. One would expect it to shatter, or maybe even crack, but the stone bounces off of it harmlessly, not even leaving a scratch behind, oddly enough. Kaelestia's aim is even worse, hitting the wall to the west, nowhere close to her target. Sha'al stabs again with his trident, over the dwarf's head, but the ogre blocks with his club again. Finally, Sumina moves in close, coming up alongside Parra, and slashes her great sword in an overhead strike that cuts deeply into the ogre. It staggers a bit, then falls over to the left with a heavy thud. His closed hand opens a bit, and the little black cat emerges from between his fingertips, meowing. Twill quickly rushes over and picks up the cat, hugging it tightly. "Kitty! You're alright!" ============ InitiativeArthogate: 2+4 = 6 Granker: 3+3 = 6 Parra: 7+2 = 9 Twill: 7+2 = 9 Sha'al: 5+7 = 12 Ogre: 9+4 = 13 Kaelestia: 7+6 = 13 Sumina: 6+10 = 16 Round 02!Arthogate moves 10 feet downstairs, 10 feet southwest and 5 feet south. Must be. Sha'al looks around for anything of value not destroyed. That mirror seems interesting. The sling stone didn't even hurt it.

Arthogate puts his hammer away and moves to the cow looking for some sort of rope or lead already on it "Well I didn't see many wild cows about where else could it have come from unless this ogre was a farmer himself. Twil do you know much about the ogre other than he took your cat and was big and smelly?"

(OOC: I'll repeat the description below:) Looking around further, there is a spilled bowl of milk on the ground (the ogre dropped it when the battle started), and the dead ogre himself (who is still glowing with blue faerie fire). Aside from that, there doesn't seem to be anything of interest or note.
Arthogate approaches the cow, which seems nervous from all the fighting, but is beginning to calm down. There is a leash on it, and collar, as well as a standard cow bell.
"Oh, I remember this now," Twill says, looking at the mirror. "It looks the same from the other side, too. This is how Kitty and me got here. The big mean stinky man was already here, and he surprised me and took Kitty from me, and I had to escape. If we can turn it back on, we can go back to Stevie's place."
