"Well, if the ceremony is to take place here, then I probably won't have much time to get to know him," Ladonna says. If she was to do this, she didn't want to end up like her father and mother.

"Here? As in, the keep?" Jonas asks, surprised. "Do you think you can convince the count to go along with that?"

"Relken is in good standing," Ladonna says. "If I do well here tonight, and he continues to put in a good word for me, it shouldn't be a stretch."

Jonas looks at her skeptically, as if trying to intuit what she's up to. But he seems unable to find anything, so says, "That...would be great. A wedding here in Castle Hart would...certainly look good for us."

"I'll talk to him about it tonight, and we will come up with a more detailed plan," Ladonna says. "Can you please stop drinking and being all sad now?" She asks. She was doing what he wanted, and even though it wasn't exactly what shecwanted, she could make it work. With Rwlken's influence, there was a possibility of earning another title.

"Yes...very well," he says. He turns to a server and says, "One water please." But it's the same server Ladonna asked for water, so she already has it with her. "Oh, that was quite fast," he says, taking the water, oblivious.

"Thank you," Ladonna says to the server before turning back to her dad. "I should probably start working on my favor now. I'll see you later." With that settled, Ladonna walks off to find Sadduce Winters.

Ladonna finds Winters roaming among the crowds, keeping a sharp eye out. She has the look of a stern chaperone trying to make sure hormonal teenagers aren't getting into trouble. She is dressed quite sharply in some formal vestments, forest green with brass trim. Her holy icon, also made of brass, is also bedecked with jewels. Her hair, as usual, is tightly wound up into a bun.
"Ah, Ser Marche," she says with a nod when Ladonna approaches. "Don't you look fetching. You may well find yourself with a full dance card later."

Lillian nods and smiles. "Wise words. I suppose I should take that as a sign to start...socializing. Wish me luck, Finbul!" She tries to approach the Sadduce, but sees Ladonna talking with her already.
"Oh, apologies," she says. "I'll wait."

"Ah, Miss Lillian. It seems you clean up nice, as well," Winters says upon noticing her. "Is there something I can do for either of you?"

Ladonna looks to Lillian in surprised as she didn't think that she would talk to anyone from the church. "You can join us. I don't mind," she says to Lillian. "What I have to talk about has to deal with you too," she admits before she looks back to Winters. "One person has already asked me to dance, so it is turning out to look that way," she adds with a smile. "Thank you. I've rarely seen formal vestments before, but you look lovely yourself," she says. "But, um, you know what has happened to the both of us," she says. "And I was wondering if there was a way you could tell us about our past selves," she says softly. "I'm finding it hard to get along with my father."

Winters quickly looks around, then clears her throat. "Careful now; this is not the sort of thing to discuss in public," she warns, speaking quietly. "Never assume you are not being eavesdropped on here. Many of these nobles attend these events just to gather blackmail information on others. One moment." She takes her icon in hand and mutters a prayer to Gonto. Suddenly, the entire room goes completely silent.
"There," she says. "I've created a bubble of silence around us. We cannot hear anything from outside the bubble, and likewise, nobody on the outside can hear anything from within."
She continues, "As for your past selves, I could not say. I did not know them. But am I to understand then, that something has changed since the previous timeline? I had thought we fixed things so that everything would stay the same. You may wish to speak with Sadduce Sern then. I believe she expressed interest in speaking with both of you, actually, regarding that whole...incident."

"Ah, I was hoping I was speaking quietly enough. My apologies," Ladonna says. "When it comes to the overall timeline, I think things were preserved," she says. "But there are some changes, personally, that I have noticed. My father just mentioned to me just a moment ago that we use to be close, but...we weren't really close in my timeline. My mother left my father here, so as a result my sister was never born either," she explains. "I apparently lived a very different life here, and I need to know what that looks like."

Winters blinks at Ladonna. "Wait...your parents were still together in the previous timeline? And you had a sister? Those are...significant changes. You never thought to mention them until now?"

Lillian was...frankly, not expecting this. She was planning on apologizing to the Sadduce for the incident at the Harvest Festival, but there was, apparently, going to be a discussion about the time travel incident. Shamefully, she often forgot how much her friend's life was shattered by it--for her, it was merely another adventure. She didn't even see her past self, which would have been interesting, if nothing else. She keeps these thoughts quiet, however. To loudly exclaim, "Oh, yes, we did travel back in time, didn't we?" would not endear herself to Ladonna or the Sadduce.
