Giunona isn't certain what the creatures might have done to her. She feels fine for the moment, though.
==========
(OOC: You can roll investigation to search the room.)

The others agree that they felt something odd.
The chests and coffers of the chamber contain a small hoard of 1,340 sp, 380 gp, and 35 pp. There are also two golden idols carved to represent Myrkul and a copper bracelet studded with gemstones.

Giunona ScarletbarkHP: 9/33 - AC: 18 - CD: 0/1 - Inspiration: No - Active Effect(s): None " Well, that's definitely something that could come in handy. I don't think there is anything left here to check. We should return to the village and plan out next move to search for Giles and his men." OOC Actions So, we'll take everything in the room, collect Marcel and then go back to the village, I guess. What time is it?

By now, it's a little past 6 PM. Nightfall will be here soon. And Marcel is long gone; he wasn't going to just stand around waiting in the ruins, he went right back to town to find shelter.
As the sun is setting, the party returns to town and finds that everyone has by now found one of the shelters--the temple, the lord's manor or the mayor's house. The streets are entirely abandoned. It's like walking through a ghost town.

"Well, Lord Avergnon did say to do whatever you said," Ulster says. "So I guess we'll go with you." Thuskar nods in agreement.
"My sister might worry, but...she knows I can take care of myself," Terence says. "Very well, I'll go with you."

The party returns to the temple to find the last few locals filtering inside before it's fully barricaded for the night. They are quickly ushered inside.

Giunona ScarletbarkHP: 9/33 - AC: 18 - CD: 0/1 - Inspiration: No - Active Effect(s): None " You should try to catch some light rest, we don't know if and when they'll attack again. I'll go talk with Brother Montrel for now." - she says, as she goes searching for the older priest. After she finds him, Giunona shows her wounds to him as she describes the particular type of undead they faced. " Do you have any idea on what they were or what condition their touch could cause?" OOC Let me know if we manage to complete a short rest, in that case I'll roll some hit dice.

Montrel listens carefully, then says, "Hmm, based on your descriptions, I would venture to guess they were heucuvas. They are created when people of faith forsake their vows or commit heresy, and then are damned by their gods as punishment. I've read that they could spread a terrible disease known as huecuva blight with their touch. The disease is slow-acting, but usually fatal, slowly whittling the health of its victims over several days or weeks. Fortunately, it is not communicable. But as far as I know, it can only be cured with magic."

Giunona ScarletbarkHP: 9/33 - AC: 18 - CD: 0/1 - Inspiration: No - Active Effect(s): None Giunona was already preparing herself to regroup with the others and leave the temple, before Montrel added the second to last sentence: " Oh, well, that's for the better. The disease itself shouldn't be a problem. Tomorrow I should be able to cure it with my magic, hopefully. Are you able to do so as well?" "I'm afraid that power is beyond my skills," Brother Montrel admits. "But I am glad to hear you can handle it yourself. It's not a disease I would wish on anyone."

"No, I think we've managed to do what we can on our own," Montrel answers. "I can only hope you were successful in your mission and that no more undead will appear tonight."
