"Yes, on that subject... I spent the afternoon researching the books contained in Brother Montrel's library. Apparently the ruins near Pommeville are the remnants of a temple dedicated to an evil God, run by a priest named Nedrezar, a name that was also spoken by some of the undead we faced in the graveyard last night. His crypt was originally sealed by a certain Truehart, but I think some travelers may have broken the seal." "Yes...now that you mention it, there were some adventurers poking around up there not too long ago," Nichole remarks. "Sounds like an excellent place to start." "Yes, I'm thinking of assembling a party to investigate the ruins and see what's amiss. I could certainly use your help, young man. I'm Giunona, nice to meet you, sad it has to be in those circumstances." "Terence here is something of a local hero here in Pommeville, and I'm sure his skills will prove useful," Nichole says. "Well, the undead aren't really my expertise," he admits. "I'm more of a wilderness man myself. But I'm happy to help in any way I can." "Nichole have you see the young monk that was with us last night, Nicholas? At one point we got separated, he was still with Oswald, that farmer that guided us through the town." "I'm not entirely sure, but seeing as he's not a local, I'd guess to check the inn," Nichole answers. "If he's not there now, he's probably been there recently or plans to return to it soon, so someone there may have seen him."

Giunona ScarletbarkHP: 33/33 - AC: 18 - CD: 1/1 - Inspiration: Yes "I'm more of a wilderness man myself. But I'm happy to help in any way I can." Giunona smiles at him. " Having a diverse range of skill will make us more versatile in facing whatever we'll find under those ruins. I'm sure you'll be of great help." - then she pose a question to the two siblings: " Do you think there is someone else we could recruit? I keep hearing people talking about a Lord's Manor, maybe I could ask him if he has some guards to lend us..?"

"Possibly so," Terence says. "The inn is another possibility, as many adventuring types like to gather there."

Giunona ScarletbarkHP: 33/33 - AC: 18 - CD: 1/1 - Inspiration: Yes " I see, thanks. Could you tell me where to go to reach this manor?" OOC If it's reachable in a short amount of time, just assume Giunona follows their indication to go to the manor.

"The manor is on the other side of town, on the other side of the river," Nichole answers. "Just try not to dawdle too much. The sun will be setting soon, and I don't know whether the hastily thrown up barricades will last throughout the night. I'd rather not have any more deaths tonight, so the sooner this problem is dealth with, the better."
Giunona and Terence head for the lord's manor, returning to the Stoneway, and following it south until they cross over the bridge over the Volar River. They then turn westward, along River Road, until they reach the lord's manor--overall, a walk of about 300 yards. The manor sits on a slight hill, surrounded by an orchid. Already, a large number of villagers are arriving for shelter, so there's a bit of a crowd outside, waiting to be let in.

Giunona ScarletbarkHP: 33/33 - AC: 18 - CD: 1/1 - Inspiration: Yes " What can you tell me about this Lord, Terrence?" - she asks, while checking the crowd to see there was anyone in need of help, like elderlies or wounded people like the woman from earlier that day, as she makes her way to the entrance.

"He's a good man, grounded--perhaps a bit literally," Terence answers. "He loves his orchards, is what I mean. I've never known a noble to enjoy digging around in the dirt like him."
As they approach the front door, Terence seems to recognize someone. "Ah, Steven!" he calls, raising his hand. An elderly gentleman, ushering villagers inside and giving them instructions, turns and smiles.
"Ah, young Mister Theneuse. It is good to see you again," Steven answers.
"We are here to see Lord Tomas," Terence explains. "Is he available?"
"For you, of course," Steven answers. "He can be found in the parlor, last I saw."
"Thanks," Terence says. He leads Giunona inside, squeezing in with the villagers, then leads her to the parlor where a number of folk are setting up camp. The manor is large and comfortable, but it's not big enough for this many people, so many of the larger rooms are being set up with bedrolls and cots to accommodate everyone.
An elderly man, quite distinguished looking and well-dressed, is directing folk where to set up. He smiles at the sight of Terence. "Ah, Terence. I would have thought you'd be seeking shelter at your sister's place."
Terence bows. "My lord, no, I am not here for shelter. May I introduce Giunona," he says, gesturing to her. "She wishes to speak with you on an important matter."

Giunona ScarletbarkHP: 33/33 - AC: 18 - CD: 1/1 - Inspiration: Yes Giunona performs quite a stiff bow, or an attempt of it. - " I'm grateful you accepted to recieve us, Lord Tomas. We're short of time, so forgive me if I'll go straight to the point. We've reasons to believe that the source of what's happening in Pommevile can be traced back to the ruins next to the town, so we're assembling a recon team to check things up tomorrow and hopefully solve this situation. I was wondering if you had anyone you were willing to send with us, even a single person would be incredibly valuable."

"You wish to borrow my staff?" Lord Tomas asks. "Hmm, well, there's my butler, Steven, my gardener, Elias, and my two chambermaids--Lisa and Elsie. I'm sure any one of them would be glad to help, although I can't imagine what use they would be exploring old ruins."

Giunona ScarletbarkHP: 33/33 - AC: 18 - CD: 1/1 - Inspiration: Yes " I..what.." - Giunona's face is colored with confusion, as she glances quickly as Terrance. She clears her throat, maybe she didn't explain herself in a clear way: " Erm..I was thinking more about some men-at-arms, since the ruins are probably a dangerous place it would someone who knows how to hold themselves in a fight would probably be better suited."

"Oh, I see," Lord Tomas says. "Well, I could loan you Ulster and Thuskar. They're no adventurers, but they have been trained in combat. At least, in theory," he mutters that last part. "Ulster! Thuskar!"
Two young men, perhaps in their twenties, arrive and bow. They wear chain mail and have simple spears and shields. "My lord, how may we serve you?"
"This stranger is leading an expedition to the old ruins, and requires your assistance," Tomas tells them. "You are to obey her orders while under her charge."
"As you command, my lord!" they both reply.

Giunona ScarletbarkHP: 33/33 - AC: 18 - CD: 1/1 - Inspiration: Yes Giunona smiles at the newcomers. They seemed a bit green, but the group was growing larger and that was the most important part. Even if they had some shortcoming, she was sure that together they could face whatever was in the ruins. " Thank you, Lord Tomas. I appreciate your help. If we manage to come out of this dire situation... I heard you have lovely orchards, I would love to give them a look." She gives a nod of approval at the two warriors: " And obviously thank to you two as well, I'm sure you'll be of great help. I'm Giunona by the way." - and she hoped they would call her that, Miles was already enough formal for a whole army.

"I'm Ulster, and this here is Thuskar," Ulster offers.
"She knows that, she can hear," Thuskar points out.
"Oh, right. Anyway, we're happy to help if we can put an end to this as soon as possible. The dead picked a damned bad time to get up again," Ulster says. "The missus is about to pop with our firstborn, probably any day now. I'd feel a lot better about the whole thing if I didn't have to worry about corpses attacking when the kid does show up."
"Right, so what's our next move?" Thuskar asks.

Giunona ScarletbarkHP: 33/33 - AC: 18 - CD: 1/1 - Inspiration: Yes Giunona chuckles at the exchange between the two. - " Don't worry, we'll make everything we can to stop this calamity." The priestess bids farewell to Lord Tomas, thanking him again for his help, then leads the others out of the manor. " As for our next move... We don't have too much time, we'll pay visit to George's inn on our way to the temple to check things there. Tomorrow morning we'll conclude our prep work for our esploration, then we'll go straight to the ruins." - she turns to Terrance as they walk: " Terrance you said you were an explorer right? Have you had any chance on checking the ruins in the past?" OOC Actions Next stop the inn then. Also, stop making NPC adorable, I'm already anxious enough about the situation, I didn't want a father-to-be on the list of things I have to worry about ;_;

Terence freezes mid-step, and turns to her. "Wait, tomorrow morning? If those things rise again tonight, the town might not be still standing by then. Would it not be best to deal with this problem as soon as possible? And no, I've never been there. I prefer the wilderness, and never had any interest in old ruins."

(OOC: Well, I thought about saying Thuskar has only one week until retirement, but that felt a bit on the nose.)
