"Who can say, really?" Derica asks rhetorically. "Mister Everfull always played his cards to his chest fairly close. Honestly, you probably knew him better than most people in this village. It's a shame, really. He seemed to be turning his life around for awhile there, helping you in making Buho safer, instead of getting into drunken brawls. Anyway, the list? No, Amodeo had it. You'd have to ask him as to whatever became of it."

Lillian leads Finbul and Panola to Merida's house and knocks politely on the door.

A young halfling woman opens the door and looks over the group, before her eyes settle on Finbul. "Well, well, look who decided to come crawling back," she says sharply.
"Ninda," Finbul says. "We're here to see Ser Waelnod."
"Why?" the young woman demands, suspicious.

"Is Damon around?" Ladonna asks. "I heard it was him that finished off the Wyld Boys, so he probably was the last person to see Jherek."

"Her daughter is being hunted by a Calabrian noble who suspects her and her lover for murder," Lillian answers, a bit hyperbolically.

Ladonna "I believe he is around. Likely you'll find him and his team at the Lonely Pony, since he owns the place now," Derica answers.
Lillian "Uh-huh," Ninda says. "And are you here on behalf of the Calabrians or the Waelnods?"

"He owns the Lonely Pony?" Ladonna asks. "How did that come about?"

"After Rebekah was arrested for being an illegal mage, the place was just sort of abandoned," Derica explains. "With all the coin he's made with his recent adventures, Damon decided to buy the place and reopen it. His betrothed basically runs it, while he is off on patrols and such."

"We're on behalf of the truth, foremost," Lillian says, a bit melodramatically. "But more on Merida's behalf than the Calabrians."

"Ah, so Rebekah was arrested," Ladonna says softly with a sigh. She knew that was completely her fault, but she didn't want to go into all of that. "Well, thank you for the information. I guess I'll head over to the Lonely Pony. Oh, who took Rebekah's spot on the council?"

Ladonna "Nobody yet," Derica answers. "We'll probably discuss candidates at the next town council."
Lillian "Hmm...alright, but don't say or do anything to upset her. She's not in great health," Ninda tells them. She steps aside to let the pair inside.

"Okay, well thanks again," Ladonna says before she takes her leave with her little group in tow and heads to the Lonely Pony.

Ladonna Despite the change in management, the Lonely Pony looks pretty much exactly as Ladonna remembers it. Gerald Chanteur is on the stage, playing music on his lute. Instead of Rebekah, it is Kara Locke manning the bar. A number of locals are present. Damon sits at a table with Norm Butin, Jacob Perrin and Ethen Benton. There's no sign of Rivi or Zurgrim among the staff, but rather there are a few humans that Ladonna doesn't recognize.
Lillian Ninda escorts the three inside and upstairs to the master bedroom. There, Ser Mereida Waelnod lies in bed, her greying hair down and splayed around her head on her pillow. Lillian has never met her before, but she seems older and weaker than expected. The woman slowly sits up at their arrival, and it's clear it takes her some effort. A pair of crutches stand by the bedside, but she does not move for them, she just sits up only. "Ser Waelnod, you have guests," Ninda says with a curtsy.
Waelnod peers at the three. "Ah, Finbul. So the prodigal son returns," she observes. "And you bring two elf maids with you?"

"Well, well well," Ladonna says cheerfully as she approaches Damon's table. "If it isn't the new great hero of Buho. I hear you've been making quite a name for yourself." Ladonna doesn't know if the town has heard she was back yet. She didn't actually send word that she was going to be back. "Norm, Jacob, Ethen, it is a pleasure to see you all again."
