"Yes, I guess she probably does think that," Lillian muses. "Jerk."

"Of course," Ladonna says. She knew what her father was able to do in the previous timeline, but this Jonas was different. "Well, I'll leave you to your day. It was a pleasure to see you again," she says. With that, she walks out to go visit Jherek's parents.

Ladonna Ladonna heads down to the market square, and finds the butcher stand where Thessila Oakleg and Drundor Bloodworth--Jherek's parents--work trying to sell their wares to the locals and travelers passing through town.
Lillian "That's the Tardish for you," Amodeo says. "Always obsessed with their titles and racial purity."

"Wow, how stereotypical of them," Lillian mumbles. "You know, when she gets back, I'm going to give her a piece of my mind."

"You are not worried she might have you flogged? I've heard stories of how the Tardish treat elves," Amodeo comments.

"Pfft," Lillian says. "Ladonna wouldn't flog a goblin. She actually forged an alliance between Buho and a Goblin tribe, just a year or two back."

"Is this the same goblin tribe that you said attacked Buho twenty years ago?" Amodeo asks.

"No, no, a different one--uh, I think," Lillian answers. "That was a rival tribe to the ones we allied with."

Ladonna enters the butcher shop, and glances around. She kind of hate the smell of a butcher. "Hello?"

Ladonna As Ladonna approaches the vendor stand, Thessila turns to her. "Morning, and welcome, m'lady. Looking for a good cut of beef today?" she asks.
Lillian "Oh? And which tribe was that then?" Amodeo asks.

"Uh, it was the Wood Fang we helped, and the Bloody Spear we thought," Lillian says, having to rack her brain for the answers.

Amodeo says something in Calabrian to his bodyguards. Whatever he says, it earns a chuckle from Zenone. Amodeo then says, "Well, thank you for the history lesson. If you'll excuse us, my men and I are going to walk the town, see if anything interesting is happening."

Lillian is pretty sure the Barone is mocking her. That, or his secret evil plan involves the Wood Fang or Bloody Spear in some way. Either way, she's smart enough not to mention this in front of him, even while tipsy.
"Very well," she responds. "I will await your return."

"You need not bother," Amodeo tells her as he stands up and drops a few coins on the bar. "This is your home town, yes? I'm sure you have friends and family to visit, or 'personal errands' like Ser Marche." He and his two bodyguards then depart the common area, heading outside.
