The kenders getting stuck in the web was exactly the outcome she was hoping for. - " It seems we will have to wait for the web to disappear by itself..." - she says, while searching around for her bullets, trying to recover as much as them as possible while enjoying the momentary respite.

Calling what comes next a respite might be wishful thinking. It takes over an hour (around 70 minutes) before the webbing spell finally ends, and Ferd and Sha'al and the kender children are freed. During this long time, something terrible happens. The children become bored. And as it turns out, the only thing worse than a bored kender is a bored kender child (or three of them, as it so happens).
"Why aren't you interesting?" asks Raddell of Sumina. "Do you have any hobbies? Is that armor magical? Are you part elf? Or a really tall kender? How come your muscles got so big and then went away? Why are you here in the forest? Why are you traveling with a dwarf? Are you friends? Is he your boyfriend? Do you have a boyfriend? Is this all the food you have? It's not very good. How did you get here? Was it a very long trip? Are you going back soon? Why are you helping us? Do you know Tasslehoff? Were you in the war? Did you meet the Golden General? She's an elf, right? Are you two related? Do you live in a forest like this? Is this forest your home? Do you live in the trees? Can I see your treehouse? Do you need a rope to climb up it? Or are there stairs. Do you have any fruit? How old do you think these ruins are? Did other people used to live out here? Is it lunchtime yet? Have you ever been in a dungeon before? Was it full of monsters? What kind? Have you ever seen an undead before? Were they nice or mean? Have you ever fought a slig before? Did it spit at you? How fast can you run? Are you good at swimming? Do you have any brothers or sisters? Are you the oldest or the youngest?"
Meanwhile, Kaelestia and Granker go about recollecting their gear. Kaelestia recovers most of her sling stones, but at least one seems to have vanished entirely in the chaos of the fight. Eventually, the final stone baaz crumbles to dust. Makland and Joween spend most of their time trapped either bickering loudly or complaining that they're stuck. But at one point, Makland gets so bored he decides to entertain himself by singing loudly and off-key.
"THIS IS THE SONG THAT DOESN'T END! IT JUST GOES ON AND ON, MY FRIEND! SOME PEOPLE STARTED SINGING IT NOT KNOWING WHAT IT WAS, AND THEY'LL CONTINUE SINGING IT FOREVER JUST BECAUSE...THIS IS THE SONG THAT DOESN'T END! IT JUST GOES ON AND ON, MY FRIEND! SOME PEOPLE STARTED SINGING IT NOT KNOWING WHAT IT WAS, AND THEY'LL CONTINUE SINGING IT FOREVER JUST BECAUSE...THIS IS THE SONG THAT DOESN'T END! IT JUST GOES ON AND ON, MY FRIEND! SOME PEOPLE STARTED SINGING IT NOT KNOWING WHAT IT WAS, AND THEY'LL CONTINUE SINGING IT FOREVER JUST BECAUSE...THIS IS THE SONG THAT DOESN'T END! IT JUST GOES ON AND ON, MY FRIEND!" He does this for a good forty-five minutes before he's finally freed from the dispelling web.

Sumina looks about ready to pull out her own hair as the kender child keeps bombarding her with stupid questions. Throughout the whole time she is waiting for the webbing to disappear, she answers a few of the questions, mainly about her race, the fact that she has a younger brother, and some of the random things that she has or hasn't done. Though, once the webbing is gone, she looks down at the kender. "So we were told that you and about 27 of your friends came out here looking for adventure. Where are the rest of the kender children?"

Arthogate "Tasslehoff isn't he some sort of famous kender? Friends with a dwarf if I recall right?" the dwarf says to the kender children. "I thought I heard tales about Mr. Burrfoot. He's got some relatives that like to travel the world. I thought Tasslehoff traveled with some humans, a dwarf and an elf or maybe it was a half-elf. Do any of you know any stories about Tasslehoff that you might tell us?"

"We're supposed to meet with Hudan Stonethrower at the tree; it's justa little way back there," he says gesturing behind them, to the north. "Maybe the others are with him. Hp: 12/12 - AC: 5 Kaelestia is impressed by the amount of patience showed by Sumina as she leaves the questioning kender to her care. As soon as the web disappears, the Irda decides to go check on Ferd and Sha'al: " How are you feeling?" - she asks to the dargonesti, finally freed.

Arthogate tries his best to answer the barrage of questions.
"Have you met Tasslehoff? "No I have only heard stories about him."
Did you know the Heroes of the Lance? "Only from tales others tell of them."
Did you fight in the war? "Yes, my tribe did."
Have you ever seen a dragon? "Yes once but it was flying."
Did you ride a dragon? "No I haven't yet."
How long did it take to grow that beard? "It took a while and it grows longer over the years."
How old are you? "I am sixty eight"
Where did you get those tattoos? "They are tribal, I got them back home it is part of the tribe's rituals."
Did they hurt? "I'm a tribal dwarf much like the barbarian tribes of the plains. We learn to endure the pain. But yes they did sting a bit."
What do they mean? "That might take a while to explain, but they are tribal, generally they mean I have passed the tests to become a warrior of my tribe."
Are you married? "Yes, my wife and kids are back home."
Do you have any kids? "Currently I have two young ones back home."
Do you miss your family? "Yes, I do."
What are you doing in the forest? "Well we were just looking for shelter when some of the adult kender happened by us and told us about their lost children."
Are you lost? "In a way yes we are kind of lost, our ship needed to stop for some repairs."
How long did it take to get here? "From where the ship was to here not too long a couple days or so."
Did you walk?" "From the ship to you guys yes we walked."

During the restrained torment Sha'al begins to gradually grow angrier and angrier, a crimson flush coming to his face as he shakes from pure. Fury. He keeps searching his mind for whst in the name of all the hellish gods of the abyss and pandemonium he must have done to deserve this. Gradually he dissociates as the droning squeal of the unending song burrows into his brain like a tube-worm.
By the time the webs disappear he is completely out of it and falls to the ground, staring blankly at nothing

Sumina looks over to Kael and Sha'al, then shakes her head. She walks over to the two of them, and kind of lightly pushes Kael out of the way just so she can give Sha'al a slap across the face to bring him out of his stupor. "Snap out of it," she says harshly.

When the slap comes Sha'al's hands flash forward, seizing Sumina's mail in a tight grip at the collar as the rage returns. His eyes stare wildly, and it takes a second before he truly sees who is in front of him. His grip relaxes slightly, as does his expression. Let's find the rest of these little maldellin, and get the $^*% off this leprous loin-crab of an island.Releasing his grip, Sha'al stands and makes sure he has his gear. He pats Kaele's shoulder to indicate he is well enough to continue ==== hahahaha, perfect  Making up sea-elven curse words is fun ^_^ |

With the Dimernesti shaking off his catatonic state, the party can now at least proceed forward. They walk for about an hour in the direction Makland insists the tree is, but it becomes clear by that point he has long since forgotten about it. He, Joween and Raddell never seem to run out of energy, no matter how much they run around or yell at the top of their lungs. Suffice to say, any attempts at stealth are going to be impossible for awhile. Makland and Joween spend most of the time arguing with each other, while Raddell fluxes between asking a million pointless questions and complaining that he's hungry again.
