Closer examination of the pictures on the walls reveal text written in Dwarven, that Robin learned to read on his journeys during wanderlust. It seems this crypt was originally built by the Calnar Dwarves. The text speaks of their betrayal by the 'sky people' and the destruction of their home. The various murals seem to be depicting historical events from that time. The carved relief is of seven dwarven drummers standing before a gate.
=============
The party takes a short rest (1 hour). It is now Fifth Watch.
Gordon spends 1 hit dice and recovers (1d10+4): 7+4 = 11 HP. He improves from seriously to moderately wounded. He regains Second Wind and Action Surge. Torquato spends 1 hit dice and recovers (1d6+1): 1+1 = 2 HP. He improves from critically to seriously wounded. Arcane Recovery gives him one 1st level spell slot back. Astolfo spends 3 hit dice and recovers (3d10+9): 22+9 = 31 HP. He improves from seriously to lightly wounded.
(OOC: Anyone else want in on this?)

OOC: No.
IC: "We are going to have to take a longer rest at some point," Serafina points out. She knew right now wasn't the best time obviously with hobgoblins right on their tails.

Torquato ClorindidisHP: 3/12 - AC: 13 - Perception: 13 - Insight: 11 - Inspiration: No Torquato nods to Serafina's words: " Absolutely. As soon as conditions allow." - The elf then gets close to Robin, and look curiously both at the pictures on the walls and at the dwarves. " Hmm... I wonder." - he mutters, trying to push the dwarves to see if it had any effect on the gate in front of them. OOC Not sure if I even can, but a History roll to see if Torquato recognizes the events depicted on the walls: nmbHpiVt1d20+5Remember that Serafina regains her Channel Divinity after a short rest. 1d20+5

After editing what he finds, Robin also tries various efforts to see if there was any hidden button or passage.

"Uh, it's just a pair of doors, Elf," Gordon tells Torquato. "You don't need to treat it like a secret passageway."

Unfortunately, Torquato knows little of Dwarven history. The only history in his education was Silvanesti history--the only history that matters, as far as Silvanesti is concerned. He is vaguely aware that Thorbardin, the mountain home of the dwarves is not their original home. Perhaps this is some reference to a previous home then.
Pushing on the drummer has no effect on the door, which remains unlocked but closed.

Robin spends 1d10 HD, healing (1d10): 6 HP. He improves from seriously to lightly wounded.

Torquato ClorindidisHP: 5/12 - AC: 13 - Perception: 13 - Insight: 11 - Inspiration: No " Eh, it's always best to question things, even if they appear obvious at first." - he then sighs, giving one last gentle push at another drummer, before turning toward the door. - " But I suppose we haven't got time to inspect every nook and cranny now. Come along then, let's proceed." - he says, conjuring a shimmery hand to open the door. OOC Actions casting Mage Hand.

Serafina stands up to move next to Torquato. "Don't ever jump into a fight like that again," she says softly, referencing what he did in the previous battle so she could heal Gordon. She also knows that she is the one owned in this case, but if she returned to his parents with Torquato's body, there was a good chance she would join him shortly after or perhaps even worse.

After an hour's rest, Torquato opens the door. Beyond it, they see a large hallway. The walls contain alcoves which are stacked with coffins from the floor to the ceiling. Rough dwarven frescoes detailing history line the walls. Peering inside, they see piles of bones and grinning skulls. Bones also litter the ground, raising suspicion that someone recently rummaged through them looking for treasure.

Gordon glances at the murals, looking for anything he recognizes. Probably not, he thinks. I never paid much attention in history class.
"This way," he says, pointing around the corner to the east-leading hallway.

Serafina also looks at the murals, but she fully admits that she doesn't know anything about dwarvern history. "Stay cautious," she says. "There could be any number of traps down here."
