{Biography}
Appearance:
April has neck-length chesnut hair, well-groomed but still unkempt, and striking blue eyes. Her face is unremarkable except for a few pock marks around the cheeks, and she overall seems to care about her appearance a little, but not enough. She typically wears her pink coral armor, with a matching turquoise scarf, at any opportunity.
Personality:
Anyone who’s ever met April would describe her as “intense.” She has strong feelings about the world, her place in it, and everyone else’s place in it. She isn’t afraid to loudly explain these feelings to anyone she meets, regardless of whether it loses her friends. As a result, she has few friends. She fills the loneliness up with self-righteousness, and more constructively, by spending time with nature and listening to music. While she can be very vindictive with those who fail to follow Elonna’s creed, she ultimately cares deeply for life, and would go through great lengths to save someone in danger. Despite talking big about forcing others to convert to Elonnarism, it’s unlikely she has it in her to kill someone in cold blood.
Background:
April is the daughter of May Showers, Paladin of Elonna and fearless guardian of Salt Whale–and as far as April is concerned, no one else. Her father was absent from her birth, and she’s consistently rejected her mother’s attempts to tell her about him. April was practically raised at the local Grove, especially by a Druid named Rivers Cosmo, an intelligent and curious acolyte who served as a father figure. She decided at a young age that she would be a Paladin like her mother, but as she grew into teenagedom, she found she wasn’t satisfied following what orthodox wisdom said was “right” and “proper.” After all, the Old Ones felt what they did was right–and see how wrong they were? In between her Paladin training, she buried herself into learning the other perspectives on life, society, and Elonna. This caused much exasperation for her mother and fellow acolytes, especially as April’s own views were shaped by this research. Some of the older, more traditional members of the Grove considered her unfit to be a holy warrior, but May convinced them that, though her daughter may be misguided, her devotion to Elonna is true. Now, she battles threats to the realm of Salt Whale as a Paladin of Elonna, and prepares for the inevitable (in her eyes) war with the Riverdom.
