Oh, yes. An era of war is upon us, as every nation will seek to expand and grow. Just as the Hermit and Mizzle prophesied. A storm is coming. Hopefully the party can successfully strengthen Salt Whale to the point where it can weather it.
Anyway, what's left? Oh, everyone should check their inventories and decide if there is anything they want to buy or sell before their next mission. You'll be heading into dangerous enemy territory, so you'll want to make sure you are properly stocked up and not terribly weighed down.
Oh, and the henchmen. Let's have another ranked vote on who to bring with us. I'm of two minds on how many; on the one hand, one could argue this is a very difficult and dangerous mission, so the more the better. On the other hand, one could argue there is a greater need for a smaller group, as too many people might draw too much attention.
The choices are:
Blitz (Male Aarkocra Fighter 1) Starbuck (Female Stout Halfling Coffee Mystic 2) Mizzle (Female Water Genasi Druid 1) Gurt (Male Half-Orc Bard 2)
Feel free to discuss the pros or cons of any of them accompanying the party. Choose the one you want most first, then second, then third, and finally the one you want least last. If you don't want to bring anyone, you can choose that option, as well.

These are my notes for the chapter:
Title and Theme The title of this chapter, "First Mission" was...well, exactly what was on the tin. For the life of me, I couldn't come up with something better. Sometimes I wish I could name the chapters after they were finished, instead of before they started, but such is the way of things.
Faerie Way In the same way that Si'ahl is based on Seattle, Faerie Way is based on Federal Way, the small city I live in.
The Hermit The Hermit is one of those characters who is very important to the setting, but not really important at all in this particular story. Although he might come up again at some point, who knows?
Pot Market The garden of Bar'eyllis is based on Tacoma, which really does have a farmer's market for pot. The idea of some of those plants coming alive and attacking amused me. In fact, I had a special feature where if they took any fire damage (they were vulnerable to it), they would release a cloud that would cause confusion. But I don't think anyone does fire damage in this party, so I guess it didn't matter. Oh, well.
Long Beach Long Beach is based off an actual city called Long Beach. Although I assume the real one doesn't look like a warzone, since there aren't constant Ravenite raids on it here. I just figured a port town that small and that far north was an easy target. Sand Island is a real island, too, although presumably the real one isn't inhabited by a hag.
The Green Hag The scenario with the hag was the biggest sidequest, since it involved actual combat (with a boss, at that), and the others were just talking and such. I found a book online that gave rules for using lair actions and environmental hazards for low level enemies that I finally got to use with this fight. It actually made it challenging! I'm sure the party would have taken her out in two rounds (or less) otherwise.
Renown The party earned 1 point of Renown for Bar'ellyis for saving the market, 2 for Si'ahl for completing the mission, -1 to the Cult of the Vengeful Mother for thwarting their plain and April earned 3 for the Elonnori Churchdue to all of her downtime spent there.
====================
I think that's everything. Any questions, opinions, feedback?
I'll probably start up the next chapter tomorrow.

Sometimes I wish I could name the chapters after they were finished, instead of before they started, but such is the way of things. How would you name this chapter if you had to name it now that it's ended? As for which henchmen to bring with us... Hmm, I'm not sure, I guess I'd bring the two we haven't used yet. Also, I have a suggestion/request... Would it be possible to have either shorter chapters or for EXP to get awarded more often, like for example after every long rest or something. It would be nice (imho of course) to have a more linear progression, instead of big dumps of exp after many months (and this would also allow the low-leveled henchmen to catch up faster, instead of having to be at level 1 for all/most of the mission).

Probably something to do with the hag. Like 'The Hag's Deal.' Or if I was feeling particularly punny, maybe ' It was Hag-atha All Along." And yes, I am trying to find a way to make the chapters shorter, especially as both of the first two were five months long each. And I skipped a lot of stuff in that last one, too. There were like 1-2 more encounters on the road I skipped over, and I glossed over the entire trip back. I don't know, I used to be better at this. Not sure what I'm doing wrong now, but I'll be keeping an eye on our progress for this next chapter to see if I can figure it out. (I will mention, though, that even if I did give XP after every long rest, the party still wouldn't have leveled until the end anyway.)

I'd put them to come in the order they're currently in, as handy as keeping them all level is, that extra level can help more, plus the coffee help support helps.
Blitz Starbuck Mizzle Gurt

I chuckled. Oh right, I forgot we have to rank the henchmen, I think I'll go: 1) Mizzle, 2) Blitz, 3) Gurt, 4) Startbuck

Blitz, Starbuck, Mizzle, Gurt
On a side note, I'm getting my games confused.

Okay, that totals: Blitz - 13 Mizzle - 11 Starbuck - 8 Gurt - 8
So we'll go with Blitz and Mizzle then.

I'm just reading now the last Purifying Pilgrimage summary and...I spotted a familiar figure 👀

Yep, two worlds collide. Although they have not synced up temporally yet. Overmorrow started in the summer and is now in the autumn, while Pilgrimage is in the spring still. So Overmorrow is the future, Pilgrimage is still in the past.

Captain Pisces and his ship, the Tideway, played a prominent role in Purify Pilgrimage, the 5E game I've been running for Horizon.

That's what Pisces meant when he said Kalinda seemed oddly familiar to him. Sort of a meta-joke of mine.
