For those who aren't aware, I've been working on two new 2E games to replace my previous Lost Souls and Dragonlance games after they dried up. Both games are roughly 95% ready, but it's way too much work to release them at the same time. So I'll start one soon and another in a month or two.
If you are interested in either or both games, post here to let me know. I want to know how much off-site recruiting I'll need to do. But I also want to figure out which game to start first. And I can decide that based on which one generates the most interest.
Here are the elevator pitches for both games:
Lost Souls: Renosia
This game is set in my homebrewed setting for 2E, Lost Souls. On the continent of Renosia, there is a land where fiends from the lower planes are free to come and go as they please. There was a long era of death and destruction, but eventually peace was made and a city was built where mortals and fiends could live together. While there is peace, there is no harmony. Fiends and their spawn hold all of the power and influence, while the mortal races are left to scrape by. The police, magistrates and politicians are corrupt and unforgiving. But the party are a group of detectives and vigilantes who work to help those folk whom the system neglects or oppresses. This game is heavy on roleplay, focuses largely in one place (the city) and is largely player driven.
Dragonlance: The Foreign North
This game is set in Dragonlance, but focuses on the northern and far lesser known continent of Taladas. The party are prisoners aboard a ship taking them through the Blood Sea when a terrible storm blows them off course. They wind up landing in the alien land of Taladas, where everything is familiar and yet, at the same time, completely different. A land with no Conclave, no Knights of Solamnia and no Holy Order of the Stars. Where the gods have different names, genders and even importance. Where the races behave differently, have different languages and cultures. Now trapped on this foreign land, the party must learn more about it and try to make a new home there. This game is heavy on exploration and focuses on traveling to different parts of the new continent, and is largely player driven.
I can field any questions anyone has, if it helps make a choice easier.
Keep in mind, this is just an interest check. Nobody start rolling up characters or anything yet. I just want to know who's interested for now.
