CH. 03 - Princenappers!

"I know a little Raven Call," Pisces admits.  "In any case, whatever you're going to do, I suggest you do it quickly.  They'll be on us soon."

[HorizonsDream]

"Alright, so if we are going to look captured, we are going to need some rope, and probably a gag," Kalinda says.

[Daos]

"Rope's not a problem, we're on a ship, so there's plenty of that," Pisces says.  "As for gags...I don't know, some of the crew wear bandannas.  They might serve in a pinch."

[HorizonsDream]

"So then we probably need our hands tied behind our backs," Kalinda says. "Someone will have to hold my glasses for me," she adds.

[Daos]

As the four women remove their weapons, armor and other gear, Blitz secures some spare rope and helps in tying them up, but in such a way that while it appears they are secured at a glance, they can actually easily wriggle out if they need to.

Terani moves about the crew and generally checks around for bandanas and other suitable gag items, plus maybe a whip if one is spotted. It seemed like a sensible thing one would have to keep them in order.

"This should probably do it," Kalinda says. She tests the rope a little bit, and nods in satisfaction.

"Good job, Blitz." - Poppy comments, as she tests the rope holding her. They were probably ready and only needed to wait now.

April silently tugs at the rope, feeling uncomfortable without her armor and weapons. She prays fervently to Elonna in her head to try and steady her nerves.

[Daos]

The party waits as the Ravenite vessel approaches.  Up close, they could make out more details.  It is a small scout ship, somewhere between 50 and 75 feet long and 15-20 feet wide.  It sports a single mast with a square sail, but the crew can row from the bow and stern to add additional speed.  Currently about a dozen crew are rowing, and there are another dozen or so warriors on deck, armed and ready.

The ship pulls up alongside the Tideway and extends a gangplank to board.  A high elven warrior steps forward, escorting by the dozen warriors.  "Who is captain of ship?" asks the elf in crude Cascadian.  "Trespassing in Ravenite waters," he says accusingly.

Pisces steps forward.  "I am captain.  We are delivering these Elonnori women to your shores for trade," he explains, gesturing to Kalinda, April, Poppy and Mizzle.

"Elonnori women?" repeats the elf, sounding intrigued.  He approaches with confidence, a grin on his face as he examines the four.  "Not bad.  Much beauty.  Could provide good warrior sons, yeah?"  That last question was directed to his escorts, who chuckle appreciatively.

Kalinda glares up at the elven Ravenite. She can barely see without her glasses due to the sun, bit she can see enough. The urge to punch him was strong.

Poppy keeps her eyes low and tries to focus on something else to distract herself from the situation.

April doesn’t do anything.

[Daos]

The elf notices Kalinda glaring at him, and grins, approaching her.  "This one has fire in eyes.  Strong spirit."  He grabs her chin to turn her head, to better inspect her.  "Maybe I take this one for self."

"Uhh, well, these slaves are meant for...someone important," Pisces states.  "The, uh, the king.  I don't think he'd appreciate you running off with one."

The elf releases Kalinda's face and frowns.  "The king, huh?  Maybe I take all four to him then.  You can go home then.  I make sure they arrive safely."

"Oh, uh, I wouldn't want to trouble you," Pisces objects. "I'm sure you have your hands full with patrolling the sea, after all..."

Kalinda didn't like where this was going, but for the moment she keeps quiet to see if the Captain can pull them out of this.
