"Uhhh...," the innkeeper begins, trying to process what Terani just said and come up with some kind of response, when the door suddenly swings open and a Ravenite guard steps inside, wearing the full black feather cloak and wooden armor. Numerous conversations in the inn clam up and everyone freezes a moment. Kalinda recognizes him as the same guard who was following her.
Meanwhile, outside, the dwarven woman frowns.
"I see," she says steadily. "Well, there's plenty of work to be done, so we best get to it." From what Poppy can tell, she doesn't seem to think much of slavery.

Terani thinking he may have been misunderstood was about to clarify when the guard walked in. He offered a polite nod and smile before putting a goblet on the counter in hopeful anticipation.

Kalinda, who decides to play the role of meek little woman, moves closer to Blitz, and even hooks her arm around his. She'll apologize to him later, but she says as softly as possible to him. "That's him."

The guard stares with interest at Kalinda and Blitz for awhile before eventually moving to a nearby table and having a seat, never taking his eyes off of the pair.

" Do the guards have a normal or should I ask?" Terani asks before then acting on the information to either provide the drink or go ask what they would like. " Good morning to you, care for a refreshing beverage or food?" Would be his wording. |

"Normal? No, something's amiss," the innkeeper whispers. "Guards don't drink here. They have their own place. He must be here on business."
When Terani speaks to the guard, he seems content to ignore him, focusing on Blitz and Kalinda instead. However, upon catching a glimpse of Terani from the corner of his eye, he turns his attention to him. "Aasimar," he observes, as if making some kind of connection.

"I'm not sure," Blitz responds to Kalinda nervously.
The guard looks to Kalinda and Blitz, then to Terani. "Yes. Did you arrive here with a human, half-elf and genasi?"

"Okay, let's go ask why he keeps staring at us," Kalinda suggests. She couldn't speak the language, so it would have to be up to Blitz.

"I did indeed, which is of great concern as the innkeeper informed me there's a similar group around but who seen to be spies! Nasty business if you ask me. Still, the company I arrived with had others besides, Blitz and her there included." Terani replies, waving his arm in their direction. [Kalinda forgive me, but you keep up that meek look and I'll try to be dominant.]

"You are claiming you are not the Cascadian spies reported in the area, despite having the exact same racial makeup of those spies?" the guard asks Terani. "Then you won't mind me searching your belongings. Take me to the room where you are staying."

Kalinda doesn't like the look of how things are going even though she doesn't know what is being said.
