After paying by the barkeep to give him the heads up, he leads the guard down to the sleeping area. "Here is my kit, as you can see, nothing to worry about. Basic arms as I'd expect from any wanderer in unsafe times."

Blitz whispers to Kalinda in Auran, "Either Terani has a brilliant plan that I don't understand or he's selling us out to the enemy," he says, deeply confused. "Either way, I think we better go with them."
Terani leads the guard downstairs where the party's gear is. With the potlatch over, the place has been cleared out. The party are the only ones still staying down there, so currently the place is empty of anyone else. The guard starts with Terani's pack, opening it up and dumping the contents on the ground, including his coral armor and shield, coral mace, and Elonnori vestments. The guard freezes in place at the sight of all of this Cascadian gear, clearly shocked by the sight of it. He clearly had not expected things to be this easy, and he seems to be momentarily stunned.

Kalinda nods in agreement and walks after the guard and Terani only to see the scene of all of his weapons and armor being dumped out. Her eyes widen, but while the guard is distracted, she tries to knock him out from behind. fHoYOXw71d20+51d20+5Advantage 1d4+3

While the guard is stunned, Kalinda suddenly bursts into action and with two quick strikes to the head, knocks the guard out before he can even recover. He slumps to the ground, completely passed out.
"Oh, my," Blitz says. "This is...unfortunate."

"What were you thinking bringing him down here?" Kalinda asks Terani in a huff. She looks down at the guard, and lets out a sigh. "And now I have to figure out what to do with him," she says. "Blitz, can you go get Poppy and April?" she asks.

Terani stands there in a daze like the idiot he felt he was. "I ... Wish I knew... Elonna... Is this my punishment for ending a garden... What have I done!" He stands looking down at the guard for a while longer. "Illusion.... If only... If w could hide our stuff, we could try and say he went just collapsed as we came down. But... Where?" He turns looking about for spares boxes or hiding spots for their gear.

The basement was largely cleared out to make room for the extra guests during the potlatch, but it does appear to have originally been used for storage. As such, there are a few remaining boxes and barrels still present, filled with things like old rags, empty bottles, and spare dishes and cutlery.

April, having set down all the trinkets Terani gave her, notices Blitz come upstairs and greets him. "What's going on? You look concerned," she asks.

"Ummm," Blitz begins. He looks around, as if worried about being overheard. "I think you better go downstairs. There's a bit of an...issue. The others can fill you in. I need to go find Poppy and Mizzle."

Descending downstairs to the basement, April comes across quite a scene. A Ravenite guard lays prone on the ground, Kalinda standing over him while rubbing her fist. Terani, meanwhile, seems to be frantically searching the room for something. Next to the guard lays the contents of Terani's pack, having been spilled open to reveal--among other things--coral armor and weapons, and Elonnori vestments.
