Appearance Raine has shoulder length blond hair that she wears in a bob style (the back is short while the sides are longer). Her long bangs hide her round shaped brown eyes. They always seem to have a mischievous glint to them.
She stands at an average height of 5'6", and she weighs around 130. Body wise, she is thin and lithe (allowing her to move quickly).
When it comes to clothing, Raine sticks to sexy and comfortable. Typically, she wears tight fitting leather pants that lace up the side of the legs. Her shirts seem to be bodices with straps that tie behind her neck. It isn't exactly the most productive attire, but it suits her purposes.
Personality Raine is an independent young woman. She doesn't take too kindly to authority figures. She prefers to do things her way, and her way only. If things fall from that path of her way, then she tries to steer it in the direction in which it would benefit her in some way.
Raine is also a sassy young woman. She loves flirting with anyone especially if she thinks she can manipulate them to do something for her. She gets bored easily, so she is always moving (one wonders if she ever runs out of energy).
Intelligent, manipulative, and resourceful can all be bunched up into one. Raine tends to only manipulate men, as they are easier than women (women tend to see through her for some reason). Also, as mentioned Raine can be rather resourceful. She usually can do anything to get herself out of any situation (of course it isn't mentioned that she usually put herself in that situation in the first place).
History Paige Drakeford, a native to Buho, moved to Syna in hopes of finding a job. Luckily, due to her pretty features, the governor of Syna hired her as a maid. She even was given her own room with within the governor's home. Life wasn't great, but she was content with it.
A few months after settling down in Syna, Paige ran into a young, tribal rogue. She stumbled upon him sneaking out of a supply store with a bunch of arrows. Typically, she would have ran off to tell the guard, but the young man smiled, put his finger to his lips, and then ran off into the night. Paige didn't think she would see him again, so she just ignored the whole thing as if it didn't happen.
A couple of weeks went by, and Paige ran into the tribal man again at the inn. This time he was just sitting at a table drinking silently. Paige was just going to ignore him, but the moment he saw her he waved her over. She learned that his name was Alagan, and they had a nice conversation. Matter of fact, Paige looked forward to see him again the next time he was in town.
The relationship that grew from that first meeting was nothing short of dramatic. Alagan would leave for weeks at a time, and poor Paige would miss her love terribly. When he was around, all was right with the world. It was young love at its finest, and Paige was swept away. That was until she learned she was pregnant. When she told Alagan, he promised that he would be there for her and the baby. Though, when the baby arrived, he was no where to be found.
Paige was left to raise little Raine by herself. Alagan would show up now and again, bestowing gifts on his daughter, and giving Paige faint hope that he was going to stay. He never did though.
Raine was raised in the governor's home (after much pleading from Paige). She received somewhat regular visits from her father as well. When spending time with her father (when she was young), she eagerly listened to his every word about the grand adventures that he was on. Secretly, one day, she wished that she would have grand adventures of her own, much like her father. Once the man left again though, Raine would be moody for a good week before returning to her mischievous self.
As Raine grew older (about 7), her attitude towards living in the governor's home became rather disrespectful. Everything was so orderly and boring. She hated it there, and she made sure everyone else around her hated it just as much as she did. This forced Paige to find a place of her own. It was an inconvenience, but at least she could keep her job just as long as she wasn't living there anymore.
Free of the confides of the governor's orderly ways, Raine explored Syna. She tried to mimic her father's adventures, which quickly got on the business owners nerves. At first, they called upon Paige to come discipline her child (which she would), but Raine quickly learned how to talk her way out of the mischief that she brought upon herself.
Shortly after Raine turned 14, her mother announced that she was to be married to the man that she was seeing, Hunter Redriver. Naturally, Raine was disappointed in this fact (as she secretly hoped that her father would return and sweep her mother off her feet). Of course, she didn't like Hunter. He was another one of those orderly types, and she knew that he would try to restrict her freedom. She was right. Hunter set down rules, and Raine purposely broke them.
At 17, Raine couldn't take living with Hunter and her mother , so she ran off with her father when he came visiting again. Life with him wasn't much better though, as he basically ignored her while he did his business. In the end (after picking up some useful tips from watching her father), Raine set off on her own. She wrote her mother every time she reached a new town to let her know she was all right (and to brag about her adventures). Her life was her own, and she was going to do what she wanted with it.
