Yeah, Jericho rocked. That was one of the best shows I've seen in awhile. If it had been on FOX, I would have known it would be canceled and never become attached to it. But I expected more from CBS.

well, i have very low expectations for CBS after they cancelled joan of arcadia a couple years back. they keep making well-written shows with small but strong fanbases and then cancel them without even giving them second chances, so all i have left is NBC

I don't even get NBC. All I have is these old rabbit-ears that just barely pick up a handful of stations clearly, and NBC isn't one of them. Or ABC. All we get is CBS, CW, FOX, and PBS.
Hence why I don't watch much television to begin with.

that's unfortunate. Heroes on NBC is full of sexy ideas (though the writing was better at the start than towards the end...).
at least you have CW, i suppose? i hear smallville's been including some justice league, lately.

I could never get into Smallville. Maybe because I'm not a big DC fan to begin with, or maybe it's just too much like a soap opera for my tastes. The whole thing seems like some kind of fanfic to me, I don't know.

this is true. i stopped watching it after i got frustrated with lana's complete stupidity.
lana - "what's this? i'm saved? it's a miracle!" clark - "...yeah! woo hoo! (damn, that was a close one!)"
i had hoped that their take on the justice league would at least be interesting.
on the other hand, there's always the office! but i suppose that's NBC, too. that reminds me, though... i need to find the first two seasons on dvd and decide whether i like it or not.

Maybe it was just coincidence, but every time I tried to watch an episode of Smallville, the basic premise of that particular episode was sexy women who were under some kind of mind control were trying to seduce Clark for some reason...I would watch for about 10 minutes, roll my eyes, and change the channel.
The Office? Not familiar with that one.

well, i suppose having everyone want to get into superman's pants is better than boring and stale protector-of-america superman.
i've actually only watched the last two episodes of the latest season of the office, but they were pretty amusing. it's a series mockumentary of the happenings of an office in a paper supply company. it sounds very strange, but it's actually rather funny.

JERICHO In a letter to fans of Jericho, CBS President Nina Tassler announced that they were picking up the show for 7 additional episodes to be broadcast mid-season next year. Tassler also revealed the date of the season 1 set - September 25. www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=7435

i'm surprised too... 7 episodes isn't much at all, but it lets them fully conclude the story (if that hasn't occurred yet).
plus, it sounds like what NBC did with ordering an extra 6 episodes from Heroes that they'll be airing during the mid-season break of the normal season. perhaps tivo is finally forcing networks to avoid reruns, so they're looking into smaller formats that aren't quite a mini-series.

No, the story wasn't finished. In fact, the season finale was a huge cliffhanger.
But if it does well, they may continue it beyond just seven episodes. That's probably hoping for too much, though.

Jericho returns February 12th.
What a nice, if slightly belated, birthday gift. ;D

I just picked up a series called "Supernatural." It so far seems to be of decent quality. It's about a pair of brothers who hunt demons.
Edit: I watched a few more episodes and it's really interesting. Each episode is a mystery in which they must determine what type of ghosty they're dealing with. I like it when they get to the exposition on the bad-guy. Like reading the 2e MM for the first time or researching legends like the Wendigo or something.
They mess with the supernatural in general, not demons.
Edit 2: After continued watching the show just keeps getting better. You had better bet the characters are dynamic and each challenge they face echoes or plays upon the pair's history or relationship.
