I usually just go to the local diner for Thanksgiving, assuming I even have it off from work. This is what I had last year:

We are both super dooper excited. So are the midgets. Our son is the best man and our daughter is the Maid of Honor.

Congrats on the wedding. As an amateur photographer, I have actually been hired to do the photography for a couple of weddings before. They are a little on the chaotic side, but everyone always seems so happy.

Snacs says I cannot adopt you because we don't have a spare bedroom for the racecar bed you'd need if you were going to be my son He's the voice of reason like that. I'm the only one in my family who can cook worth a damn, but I also have the smallest kitchen. As a work-around I typically go to my mother's place for Thanksgiving and cook there because her kitchen is unfairly huge and also it's pretty convenient for everyone to get to. We are both super dooper excited. So are the midgets. Our son is the best man and our daughter is the Maid of Honor. OMG KYOOT!

I can cook Our kitchen is pretty tiny though. Also wow, Only like 3 posts from me on this board and you're already throwing me under the bus I will admit to being the voice of reason. Most of the time.

World peace, an adult president, and for Paradox Games to start releasing their stuff on GOG.

... I was thinking, like, a decorative blanket or a funny bumper sticker or something Why don't you want to use Steam?

I'm like, almost obnoxiously anti-DRM when it comes to my video games. And Steam is essentially as much DRM as it is a distribution platform.

I'm like, almost obnoxiously anti-DRM when it comes to my video games. And Steam is essentially as much DRM as it is a distribution platform. I also dislike DRM intensely, but I find that steam's requests of me are acceptable in regards to what it tries to do. Most of the complaints about Steam DRM are really better placed as complaints against Developer DRM requiring steam connections(For example, if you download a Paradox game like Stellaris it will boot up even if Steam is currently off/uninstalled/not present on the system, and the same holds true for games like Shadow Warrior 2, Hollow Knight, etc. However some games(such as LA Noire) are built in to require Steam to be running/have an always-online connection, much like an MMO- here's a random list of games tested to be DRM free).
To each their own I guess?

I guess I don't understand. Isn't the whole point of Steam the DRM (from the publisher's point of view, I mean)? Otherwise, why wouldn't Paradox, for instance, also put their games on GOG or even sell them directly to the consumers from their own website?
That aside, if I'm understanding correctly, I'd still have to download Steam, make an account, and Valve would still get a portion of my money when I bought it, right? And even then, wouldn't I have to keep Steam in order to get updates and patches and such?
