Merfolk languages: Aquan (sort of an underwater common), Reef Giant, Kuo-Toa, Locathah, Koalinth, Merrow, Sahuagin, Scrag, Sirine, Triton, and Undine. Turns out I was wrong about Nixie, they live in lakes, so never mind about them.

So, I'm coming back with details for my elven storm sorcerers.
Her name is ElahiMa'aana, and is from a group of elves that settled in the mangrove forests of remote western Octhanus after the war of the Empires, secluding themselves from almost everybody else. They have in general little contact with the other islands and their peoples, but young men and women are known to occasionally become adventourous and wander out into the world. They are even smaller than most elves, with moderately dark, reddish skin, sleek to wavy black hair and very dark eyes.
One of ElahiMa'aana's cousins had come back from such a time of adventures, and his tales at the nightly fire of the large ships that sailed the ocean between the islands, guided by mages called storm sorcerers, were so enticing to her that she decided she wanted to go beyond the study of magic she had been doing with the elders of her tribe and study at the storm sorcerer academy. It wasn't easy at first because she came from such a different culture, but her obvious talents for both magic and seamanship (though practised only on the outrigger canoe before joining the Academy) won her sponsors and she ultimately graduated with honours. It was at the Academy that her long name got commonly shortened to "Ela". She has now served as Storm Sorceress on several ships.
Daos, do I get to choose age, height, weight etc. freely or use the PHB system?

You can choose or roll for it; up to you. With regards to age, keep in mind I have a new house rule (see first paragraph from that link) on that. All races have the same lifespan now, just as humans.

Hmm in that case I should change my Gnome's age. I edited my post with age to 25 since all races live the same lifespan...and mature at the same rate as a human.

Theron, I was going over what you've done so far and noticed a few things.
First, you seem to have completely omitted Detect Noise from your thief skills.
Second, I think you misread the Investigator Kit. It doesn't give Information Gathering and Observation for free, rather it requires you spend points to qualify for the kit. However, I'm willing to let you have them for free anyway. The kit is kind of...lacking. In fact, if you have some ideas for a few 'detective skills' to give the kit a little oomph, let me know.
Third, you said you wanted a pistol. There are several types of pistols, so I'm going to go ahead and write up some information on firearms and add it to the Lost Souls Handbook so you, and anyone else who wants firearms, have something to reference. So stay tuned for that.
Greywolf, one of your WP is quarterstaff which is a L sized weapon, meaning it is too large for a S sized creature, like a gnome, to wield. I might suggest club or belaying pin instead.
You gave your character Ancient History NWP. Which period of history did you want him to be knowledgeable in?
You also gave him Ancient Languages NWP. Which ancient language did you want him to have (Eonian, Proto-Dwarven, Proto-Elven, Proto-Orcish).
You said he was going to be a cleric of Gonto, right? I'll do a write up for what the Gontorian Church is like on the islands and add it to the Lost Soul's Handbook. See above about pistols, as well.
GravityEmblem, you chose Animal Training as one of your NWPs. Which animal, specifically, do you want him to know how to train?

Alright,
Level One. Detect Magic, Read Magic, Armor, Cantrips, Charm Person, Sleep, Shield, Gaze Reflection, Light (+1 specialist spell? - Light)
85% for INT, +15% as specialist = 100% for Jump, Light, Mending, Spider Climb, Enlarge.
For 14 at 1st level. 2nd Level roll for Identify Wi3at3X31d100 Comprehend Languages as School freebee 3rd Level, roll for Invisibility 1d100 Rope Trick for freebee 4th Level, roll for Alter Self 1d100 Whispering Wind for freebee 5th Level, roll for Dispell Magic 1d100 Fly for freebee 6th Level, roll for Lightning Bolt 1d100 Melf's Minute Meteors for freebee
Not sure if there are bonus chances, like getting a first & second level spell @ 5th and 6th, or more than a roll and school freebee per level attained.

However does that mean he can't use staff sling either? Wait nope Staff Sling is M size. How about a Jo Stick it's only 3' long from Oriental Adventures. still gives a gnome a staff. Jo Stick length 3' speed 2 dmg 1d6/1d3 weight 15Uh what are the choices for ancient history? Yes Gonto is correct.

Theron, I was going over what you've done so far and noticed a few things. First, you seem to have completely omitted Detect Noise from your thief skills. I totally did! No idea how I managed that oversight, but it's been added. I kept it at the base 15%. The proficiencies listed as "required" for kits in the Complete Thief's Handbook are in fact "bonus" NWPs, going by the rules-as-written. It explains this at the beginning of Chapter 3: I'll think on any creative ways we might extend the Investigator kit and get back to you. Third, you said you wanted a pistol. There are several types of pistols, so I'm going to go ahead and write up some information on firearms and add it to the Lost Souls Handbook so you, and anyone else who wants firearms, have something to reference. So stay tuned for that. Cool cool cool. I've been brainstorming on some questions relevant to Mathias' backstory, too -- mostly about dwarven clans and Varneil and the Octhanian Trading Guild and how all those relate to one another. I'll get those to you very soon.

Sorry, Nuke, I'm trying to parse your post and I'm having trouble understanding it. Quoting what I said to Breila about arcane spells: So as a transmuter, Nuke's character will get two free spells (no rolls needed) for each spell level, but one of them must be Alteration. So it sounds like you want Comprehend Languages (1st level), Rope Trick (2nd level), Whispering Wind (2nd level), Fly (3rd level) and Melf's Minute Meteors (3rd Level) as your freebies? What's your other freebie 1st level spell then? It also looks like you are rolling for Identify (pass), Invisibility (fail), Alter Self (pass), Dispel Magic (pass) and Lightning Bolt (fail). Is that right? It sounds like you are saying you want these spells, too, but because they are Alteration and your total chance to learn is 100%, there's no need to roll for them. Is that right? Okay, got it. Sorry, I don't use Oriental Adventures. Also, this setting is more of a Caribbean flavor than a Far Eastern one. (You can see a list of books I allow material from here.) Basically any event in the Calendar thread that takes place in a negative year. Examples would be Ruaran Empire, Farikak Empire, Ha’Kur War, Malice Dynasty, Malreth War, Malinar War, Dre’Ar Insurrection, Eonian Empire. I'll link to the update once I have it up. Okay, got it. That's so misleading! Why not just call them 'bonus' NWPs, like every single other Complete Handbook does? Man, I wonder how many years I've been getting that wrong because of their completely unintuitive and inconsistent terminology. Okay, got it. Sure, no problem.

Well I can't use jo stick but i don't want to use club or belaying pin. You also missed a "spalt book" AD&D 2e Arms and Equipment 2123 "rules supplement" some other weapon options in there as well but I didn't ask since it was not on the splat book list you allow. Because of the illusionist part I didn't think I was able to use anything more than a quarterstaff, dagger, dart or sling the cleric class removing dagger and dart and gnome race removing quarterstaff. Though I would think there has to be other versions of a staff besides only the Large quarterstaff alas all I see is that unless delving into OE. Correct me if I am wrong, which is quite possible since I have to delve through more pdf files to see what the supported splat books hold for weaponry.
