I thought this was neat. It's a medieval fantasy city generator. It will randomly cobble up a map of a large city, small city, large town or small town for you. Drawing up maps for cities has always been tough for me, which is why I usually stick to villages in my homebrew games. So this might be handy. Thought I'd share it, if anyone else might find use for it. Also, this thread can be used to share similar things that might be useful for gaming.

Oh, here's one. This site lets you compare heights. You plus in the heights of two people, and it shows you the difference. Useful if you're wondering just how tall that giant is compared to you, or just how awkward a hug with a halfling or gnome might be.

I thought this was amusing. Someone came up with rules to make every single thing in the MM playable in 5E, including camels, displacer beasts and mimics. There's this guy at another forum I end up arguing with a lot. He's an old school grognard who hates, hates, HATES 3E and finds every excuse to bring up how much he despises it (despite the fact 3E has been a dead edition for 10 years now). In fact, he seems to know very little about 3E and even less about 4E and 5E (which he basically lumps in together with 3E). Recently he started this whole thread lamenting that in 3E, you can play as a gelatinous cube monk as evidence the entire thing was awful (although the link he gave made it clear that it was meant as a joke and even specified you technically have to break the rules to make it work). Now I'm tempted to show him this just to watch his head explode.

Wow, I just re-read my last post from a year ago, and I'm happy to say that jerk I was talking about was banned by me a month ago, finally.
Anyway, not a 'tool' but an interesting article on roleplaying I thought I would share with everyone here: The Roleplaying Ladder.

I liked the article, but I find that I get lazy and drop down the ladder a lot of the time, if that makes sense.
