It was pretty bonkers. And I must say, Thanos has really been getting the short end of the stick in this series.

It was pretty bonkers. And I must say, Thanos has really been getting the short end of the stick in this series. Yeah you can say that for sure. Makes Thanos look like a push over in this series. But it was quite the contrary in the multiverse version we saw in the cinematic marvel universe.
The Zombies episode was great.

I didn't actually watch that one--my dad is very strict on us watching horror stuff, my brother wasn't interested, so I didn't think to push.

I'd say it was Stark who got the short end of the stick. He died in every episode he appeared in except for the one where he was left behind. Anyway, I enjoyed the show. And the finale was pretty awesome. Ironically, the zombie episode was more of a light-hearted comedy than a horror. I mean, don't get me wrong, it certainly had some horror elements in it, but compared to the Dr. Strange episode that preceded it, it was far less dark than I expected. Think more Zombieland than The Walking Dead.

My dad's strictness on horror is enough that he would forbid us from watching Zombieland because it's "creepy." Instead of, you know...the mature humor that I expect is in there.

Interesting. Is it all horror, or just the gory stuff he doesn't like? Like, would he object to psychological horror that contained no blood? And does he just think you aren't old enough to handle it, or is it based off some personal preference?

I think it's anything that could be psychologically damaging in any way...that extends to a lot of things. My whole family is quite devoutly Christian and quite concerned about "the stuff we put in our heads." We've clashed on this a little bit, but I certainly have no interest in horror. Sometimes I read the synopsis for horror movies on wikipedia and then lie awake at night, thinking about them.

interesting. I've only ever had issues at one point where i had to lay off watching any horror stuff before going to sleep otherwise I'd dream about being in it...oddly yes this happened to me and I made my own appearance on the walking dead in my dreams.
At any rate i had far more things that likely scared me and i don't think my watching thriller or horror stuff was it. My parents didn't really let me watch that stuff until I was around 14 or so.
At any rate 80's and 90's horror is likely not even close to stuff that came out in the 2000's and up.
Worst I had seen was Child's Play, Gremlins, & Army of Darkness.

I had sort of the opposite situation growing up. My dad and sister loved horror movies and watched pretty much all of them. But I tended to avoid them. I didn't like being scared. Both of them were constantly trying to get me to join them, but I never did. My sister had constant nightmares, and that seemed to reinforce to me that I made the right decision.
For some reason, playing horror videogames was another story. I don't really know how to explain it, but I don't like horror films but do enjoy horror games. Maybe playing a game gives you a stronger feeling of agency and control, where as in a movie you're just passively watching, unable to change anything? I have no idea. I realize it sounds weird, though.

That makes sense to me...in fact, I might even enjoy some light horror games, like the first couple Resident Evils, if I played them in a cozy living room on a bright sunny day with the blinds down.

I suppose it depends on the horror game. I have played half-life, and Doom. Fallout line of games, technically not horror but some of the mutants and ghouls are horror like. I know there was something i played a demo of that really freaked me the heck out I almost like it was left 4 dead or something along those lines. As for horror films I barely watch any anymore. I used to watch them a lot more once I was driving my parents didn't really care what I was watching so long as it wasn't X rated. At any rate. I think there are points to be had on all sides of the conversation.

Looking forward to that one as well. Along with Picard, and I've already been watching Lower Decks.

I'm really enjoying Lower Decks this season. That last episode in particular, where we got to see the lower decks of a Vulcan and Klingon ship, was particularly great.

The end of that episode was funny. Lower decks of a Borg ship
