I don't watch many movies, and haven't been to one in about four months, but tonight I'm going to see "Thor: Ragnarok."
Anyone else seen anything good lately?

How was it? The most recent movie I went to the theater to see was The Hitman's Bodyguard, though that was more because I had a friend vising from up North and wanted to show her how bangin Dallas movie theaters are and it happened to be what was playing. It was two hours of Sam Jackson and Ryan Reynolds aggressively being Sam Jackson and Ryan Reynolds at each other. If you're a fan of either you'll enjoy it, otherwise skip it and don't be worried that you missed anything.

Ragnarok was awesome, and hilarious, as well. It is by far, the best of the three Thor films so far. Oh, I didn't even realize The Hitman's Bodyguard was even out yet. I think HorizonsDream had been interested in seeing that.

I just thought the trailer was funny. Though, I fully expected that they showed like the only funny bits in the trailer too.

Just got back from Coco. That was a beautiful film, as expected by Pixar. But it was surprisingly dark for a kid's movie.

Wow, to give you an idea of just how exhausted I am, I somehow read 'Boss Baby' as 'Baby Driver' and for a second there was like, "Your parents allowed that??!!"

I'm off to see The Last Jedi. I really hope there is a scene where Luke eats all of Rey's food and then rides around on her back as part of her training!

Snacs and I have seen Black Panther! Controversial Opinion: while a good action movie, Black Panther is not a Superhero Movie. At no point in the film does the protagonist make a moral choice. The movie is still very new - tag your spoilers!

Last night. Me and my brother saw about half of the Emoji Movie. It was awful. I saw all of it and it was just all sorts of silly stupid puns mostly. Like a poop emoji joking about something relating to crap same for all of them really. It was ok for kids but very obvious in their "humor". I am however hyped for the Avengers Infinity War as well as Deadpool 2....

I am super hyped for Black Panther. I won't get to see it for a few more days, though.
I've never heard of anyone defining a superhero movie by whether the protagonist makes a moral choice or not. It was my understanding that the generally accepted definition of a superhero movie is any movie that's about a superhero.

A superhero has to be moral. They are built off of the Heroic Archtype, and most often defined by their stand against evil - so much so that more morally gray interpretations of the heroes are given a different name; they are called "anti-heros."
A protagonist cannot be amoral and also be a superhero.
