AppearanceIroas looks, for all intents and purposes, like a regular human. He has shoulder length brown hair, a bit of a goatee, amber eyes and fairly pale skin. He usually wears a leather trenchcoat that flaps behind him when he moves quickly. He wears simple eye glasses.
PersonalityIroas often acts as if the weight of the cosmos is on his shoulders. He takes every failure personally and tends to beat himself up over it.
He's incredibly emphatic, unable to turn a blind eye to anyone's suffering. The only thing that can make him really angry is seeing an innocent person being hurt.
Iroas is quite broody, and tends to be rather depressed. He will sometimes outright deny himself happiness, feeling he does not deserve it when there is still so much suffering in the planes.
History
Iroas' history begins long before he was born, at the founding of his family line. On a Prime world out in the cosmic boonies, is a small planet few have heard of called Cradle. One of the unique things about this world is that it only has one power looking over it; a single god called the Arbiter.
One day one of the celestials that serve the Arbiter fell in love with a human and became heavy with child. The Arbiter forgave the celestial for her transgressions, but demanded she give the child up. The celestial brought the child to Sigil and when he came of age, she told him of a prophecy--that one day one of his progeny would decide the fate of the multi-verse. Then she returned to Cradle.
The aasimar spent his whole life trying to help others. He had a child, who had a child, who had a child, and so on for a couple of centuries. Over this time, many of the aasimar tried to fulfill the prophecy. A few didn't care. One even went full evil in rebellion.
And that brings us to Iroas. He believes in the prophecy, but does not believe he is the one to fulfill it. He does not believe he is good enough to do so. But he helps people anyway, more out of empathy and altruism than anything else.
